Just curious. Would I be more effective with manifestations if I did something special (like wishing or praying) on New Year's Eve / New Year's Day? How would I "tune" myself so that I can start the year off on a very good vibrational note? Suggestions appreciated! asked 30 Dec '10, 13:46 Pat W Barry Allen ♦♦ |
START NOW. Now is all there ever is and all there ever will be. God/Source is not an event planner nor a real estate agent :) Just practice feeling god (<===wow that was a typo but I am going to leave it cause it looks good/god) and good things are guaranteed to happen. Peace, Be well Michael answered 30 Dec '10, 14:15 jim 10 Thank you Michael. Happy new year to you!

It's all about intention really. If the idea of specifically doing something on "Arbitrary Man-Made Number-Change Day"...sorry, that should read "New Year's Day" ;) ...actually causes you to have a more focused intention regarding a particular issue in your life, then it will be beneficial. Obviously, the Universe doesn't care one bit about the starting point of the orbit of the Earth around the Sun, and how we wish to define it. But since you are the creator of your Universe, it matters that you care. But you can also achieve the same effect by treating each day as a new fresh day..."New Life Day", you could call it...every morning :) It's the same idea with using a piece of paper and a box in the Manifesting Box Experiment (Manifesting Experiment 1)...the paper and the box, when combined, focus your intention. So, in essence, as with so many ideas involving consciousness, there's ultimately no right or wrong. Use whatever works for you. answered 30 Dec '10, 19:47 Stingray Hi Stingray, if these dates are all random, how does it fit in with the things you've written about cycles and phases in this question : http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/2384/why-is-christmas-so-popular/2526#2526.

@Pat - There is nothing that exists "out there" outside of ourselves because we create it all. And that includes those cycles. For a cycle to exist, there must exist a perceiver of that cycle...the perception of the cycle is the way that you are choosing to interact with physical reality. Those cycles are a "convenient belief system" for those that do not (or will not) take conscious control of their own lives because they seem to relate to some underlying heart-beat of consciousness. But it's still you doing it to you, not the universe "out there" somewhere

I've said on this site before that we don't need any manifesting methods or techniques at all to get everything we want in life, we just need to get happy. But, despite that, I still use manifesting methods myself because I find it convenient to use them. It forces my focus into certain helpful directions without much higher thought from me...the rules of the system do the thinking and all I have to do is follow the rules. If you have experience with stockmarket trading systems, you'll understand how apparently contradictory systems can all be effective at once

Society has a few jokes about New Years Resolutions. It could almost be jinx, I mean well meaning intentions, hehe. The best I can come up with is to have a very good felling about the coming year. But yes, always one day at time. Now is Eternal, Funny, because that is where God resides in the Now. Many Blessings! answered 31 Dec '10, 03:33 Tom Thank you and here's wishing you a happy new year!
