This is the most profoundly spiritual and Vortex-inducing song ever written in the history of this and every Universe that exists or will ever exist. In fact, the energy within it manifests at such an incredibly high vibrational level that only the true "Chosen Ones" will ever perceive it in its proper intended sacred form... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVnFKErAMQw ..the rest of us just hear some weird ditty about ducks and bad weather :) answered 16 Oct '14, 14:45 Stingray Why is this song so short? I wished it was longer, it kinds of leave me hanging at the end after making me chuckle for no reason near the middle

At first I thought vortex music was quiet music that you meditate to, which I do have some for that but I see it is music that picks you up so here are some from me. Are You Experienced? - Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Child - Jimi Hendrix The Stars That Play With Laughing Sam's Dice - Jimi Hendrix One Rainy Wish - Jimi Hendrix Third Stone From The Sun - Jimi Hendrix Gypsy Boy - Jimi Hendrix Hey Baby - Jimi Hendrix Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix Little Wing - Jimi Hendrix Angel - Jimi Hendrix 1983 A Merman I Shall Turn To Be - Jimi Hendrix Driven South - Jimi Hendrix Easy Rider - Jimi Hendrix Foxy Lady - Jimi Hendrix Gypsy Eyes - Jimi Hendrix Johnny B. Goode - Jimi Hendrix version The Messiah Will Come Again - Roy Buchanan Sweet Dreams - Roy Buchanan When A Guitar Plays The Blues - Roy Buchanan Scuttle Buttin' - Stevie Ray Vaughn Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles Pictures Of Match Stick Men - Status Quo Crimson and Clover - Tommy James and the Shondells Time Has Come - The Chambers Brothers (This hard rocking song could use a change of lyrics to be more positive.) With A Little Help From My Friends - Joe Cocker Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf Hurdy-gurdy Man - Donovan Baba'O Riley - The Who Cliffs of Dover - Eric Johnson Cult Of Personality - Living Colour Shine - Collective Soul Surfing With The Alien - Joe Satriani This is a short list there are so many more right now I can't think of but I know them. I will edit this list later. You can tell I like Acid Rock, you don't need the drugs, just let the music carry you there in your mind. Here is a link to Space Rock radio. It has some very cool stuff like Acid Rock but as well you can hear what is called Space Rock invented by Roy Buchanan. As can be heard in Roy's song You're not alone. answered 27 Jul '12, 16:19 Wade Casaldi 1

@Satori Cool I have his Texas Austin concert on DVD. He Eric actually plays a live version of Are You Experienced? And makes it sound like Jimi's backwards guitar recording. He plays it using his volume knob and feed back, it is excellent! E.J. Live ought to be awesome to see! :-)

Yes I do play guitar my main influence is Jimi Hendrix, but Stevie Ray Vaughn and Roy Buchanan are big influences on me too. I also like Danny Gaton, Dick Dale, Yngwie Malmsteen, Gary Moor and Robin Trower. Most any great guitarist I like and they have an influence on my playing. As blues playing, Albert King, Freddy King, B.B. King, Robert Johnson, Elmore James, Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker. Still mainly Jimi though. I do play Cliffs of Dover but I use a lot of cool saturation to sound awesome!
(29 Jul '12, 22:01)

No way will I play Cliffs of Dover clean like Eric Johnson. The tone he gets and has is amazing. Clear every note perfect. I use reverb, fuzz, and maybe some echo.

@Wade Casaldi, you are reminding me of an old friend.. Never heard anyone mention Yngwie Malmsteen but him! :)

The Sun Shines On Everyone by Snatam Kaur Everything's Gonna Be Alright by Bob Marley Serenity in Sand and Stone by Dan Gibson I like to do my stretch routine to this. Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf This was my theme song as a young adult. It came on the radio every time I hit the highway. Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison Changes by David Bowie Since I can't really hear what he's saying, so I say, "But I can change time." It makes more sense than mumbling something I can't hear. LOL Hey Jude by The Beatles "Take a sad song and make it better." Love it! Twist And Shout by The Beatles I can't listen to this without at least part of my body dancing. Signs by Five Man Electric Band Leaving On a Jet Plane by Peter Paul and Mary If I Had A Hammer by Peter Paul and Mary Morning Has Broken by Cat Stevens Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles One day at the end of the scool day while I was waiting with a student for their bus, I started singing, "Here comes the bus..." When I got home, my son told me that he was singing the same words as he waited for his bus in the morning. Strawberry Fields by The Beatles The Entertainer by Scott Joplin Mr. Tambourine Man by Bob Dylan All You Need Is Love by The Beatles Walk and Talk Like Angels by Toni Childs When I was 18 riding the Greyhound bus, I met a girl with this tape. We traded tapes for the ride so we could change it up a little. I loved it so much I bought it when I could. Stop Your Fussin' by Toni Childs I Love Rock N Roll by Joan Jett You've Got A Friend by James Taylor Country Roads Take Me Home by John Denver Twist And Shout by The Beatles Sunshine of your love by Cream I loved this as a kid, but didn't know who it was. It took me a long time to find out who this was and what song it is. A friend pointed out to me a long time ago, that these songs I love and don't know who they are, they are probably Bread or Cream. So I should have known. answered 28 Jul '12, 09:29 Fairy Princess 1

I love Broadway Musicals and Orchestral Movie music. These two genres would be at the top of my preference list. I can dive into greatness when listening to this one. Edit - I don't know how I could of forgotten following one. I came across it again today. I'm actually thinking I must have a previous life experience from era of Swing music, because every time I hear swing play, my body starts to twist and feet dance. Only after it does I notice it. Usually my thoughts come before my moves. answered 29 Jul '12, 10:37 CalonLan @CalonLan, oh man, how could I have forgotten this?? Songs from the 70's are great for me. They put me back to a time when I was in my late teens and life was nearly perfect. My parents were alive and in their prime of life, high school was great, I was physically the best I would ever be, had no worries, I had lots of friends, activities and all was well. The songs from that time transport me back to those wonderful times with all of the happy memories, and are the ones that motivate me and put me into the vortex the most. And since this was the type of music I came into adulthood listening to, it is the type I am most comfortable with. There is nothing deep or meaningful about the songs on my list, I just love them! The Hollies --- The Air That I Breathe Golden Earring --- Radar Love Styx --- Lady Moody Blues --- Nights In White Satin Led Zeppelin --- Stairway To Heaven David Bowie --- Fame Elton John --- Philadelphia Freedom The Bee Gees --- Night Fever answered 27 Jul '12, 20:33 LeeAnn 1 1

These are not strictly 'Happy Songs' but they get something positive stirring within me:) If you are ever feeling down for whatever reason and even if you've watched this most inspirational video before, watch SUSAN BOYLE (watch from the very beginning) Don't let anybody, anybody tell you, you can't make it:) New God moving over the face of the waters by Moby (lyrics) (Most emotional but inspirational tune) New Art of flight (unofficial trailer) M83 outro (Most emotional but inspirational tune) The Lion King - Circle Of Life Sarah McLachlan- In The Arms Of An Angel- Film- City Of Angels Timbuktu - Resten av ditt liv ( I just like this fun song although I do not understand the lyrics. Hiya, Satori-- Good Question! CLASSICAL MUSIC I like classical stuff, so here's a list of some of my favorites. Please try them if you have not ever tried classical music. In my father's memory: 1812 Overture. Today is the sixth anniversary of his death...I miss him....I thank him for introducing me to this and other great music. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony (Ode to Joy) Remember as you listen to this that Beethoven was totally deaf when he wrote this, his last, Symphony. Unbelievable! Solfigietto for Piano by CPE Bach. What is neat is that it is only one note at a time-for the most part...It goes by quick! Moonlight Sonata, First Movement, Beethoven. I LOVE this one.... Hallelujah Chorus from the Messiah by Handel. A real upper! The Messiah by Handel...For Christmas or Easter- must listen to it all! This is the NPR version which explains the whole piece of music. Flight of the Bumblebee This one is played by Maksim...Cool! The Firebird Be sure to listen all the way through The Emperor Concerto for Piano by Beethoven- Gorgeous! I also Like NEW AGE MUSIC- I'll add that list in the near future. Blessings, Jaianniah ♥♥♥♥♥ answered 27 Jul '12, 14:48 Jaianniah @Jaianniah-Great Jai, well done on playing some of these classics. Thanks for sharing:)

Jimmy Eat World - The Middle... In the car last week, I was thinking of everyone here and the general tone and theme of the thoughts you share with me here, and just at that moment, a song came on the radio that rocked my little world: (You just gotta turn your speakers up!) I could hear many of your voices in that song, just check out the lyrics. Dangerously celebratory car-dancing ensued... :) Katherine Jenkins - In The Arms of an Angel Its so beautiful; her voice, her beauty, the song's.... and she soars! I finally found a link to the video with the acrobatics I wanted so much to share. It makes my eyes water every time I see it. MC Hammer - You Can't Touch This... I found out I can still dance like a dervish at 2:00 a.m. LOL I still got it! Forgot where I put it for a minute, but its around here somewhere... This song got me outta bed and on my dancing feet! Kelvin Mockingbird - A Cricket's Love (short preview). Lovely. What a Wonderful World... Wonderful Trip The Light (Where The Hell Is Matt?)... My happiest happy song. But truely, its the video. I want to live/love/laugh like that! Damien Rice - Delicate... I still listen to this most every day. I just love it so. U2 - Running to Stand Still ... Just because it is so. damned. beautiful. Ray LaMontagne - I could hold you in my arms forever... Because I dreamed this last night. U2 - I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For .... Thought for a minute... Must have been mistaken. It's all good. Ray LaMontagne - Let It Be Me ... I just love everything about this song. The guitar, his voice, the rhythm, the lyrics, the heart and soul all over it. I love it. Ray LaMontagne - Winter Birds ... Became the background music all day, on a day I felt very loved. Now I can play it whenever I want to feel that way again - works instantly. :) :) answered 27 Jul '12, 17:11 Grace @Grace-Thank you for posting here:) Whats that tune you posted there? I like Queen because I love singing. However, there is one album I can listen to while looking at Thomas Kinkade's paintings of cottages that just puts me "there". Totally at peace, filled with happiness and wonder. Clannad Landmarks. @lastplacefavourite - It's difficult to explain, as prior to this site, I'd never heard "vortex" used. I was raised to seek Alignment. I eventually developed my own concept of different aspects of Alignment. The Right-Hand represents community, reality, relationships, ect. The Left represents fantasy, individuality, spirituality, ect. Basically, each Association is a colored filter through which shines the divine light of Alignment.

Thank you for helping. Are the associated places in the respective areas of your mind?

It has been very interesting reading everyone's musical tastes that I had to get involved. I listen to all music really, literally I can listen to everything except the obviously un-talented mind numbing noise that occupies most of the worlds airwaves and popular culture at the moment. But that being said my few favourite genres that I put the most effort into collecting and listening to are a sub-genre of electronic music called Drum and Bass and underground Hip-Hop. I say underground Hip-Hop purely for the fact that I'm assuming most people on IQ will instantly think of music that I would say falls under my "obviously un-talented mind numbing noise" label. So I say underground Hip-Hop as you are more likely to think of the acts that I percieve to be 'real' and not necessarily making music for profit. Drum and Bass will always put me into the vortex (well what I think is my vortex I'm not to sure if it is yet) whether I am mixing it on my turntables or just listening to it or going nuts at a rave. A few examples of Drum and Bass (from different sub-genres) would be: my favourite type of D+B called Neurofunk!.. Batbots by Billain http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k441btwtJ8Y A more Tech step track... Submerged (Calyx and Teebee Remix) by Break http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g22_oYuJBvg&feature=related and a classic Jump-Up tune... Mr Happy by Dj Hazard and Distorted Minds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlRn5bGF_4o I'm quite sure a lot of you will describe that as noise but heres to hoping someone will appreciate something in there, if anyone needs suggestions of artists I will be very happy to help out. As for Hip-Hip that I like it gets a bit more complicated as most of it is very realistic and wouldnt necessarily put you into the vortex (it may even take you out of it) but it is a massive part of my life and culture and I love it so much that I am trying to find a way of making the negativity it carries with it turn into positivity or as a way of venting negative emotions in order to be replaced with positive ones. A few songs by some of my favourite acts that do put me into the vortex would be as follows: UK acts: I have realised that most of my favourite UK acts are mainly neutral or negative but this is due to the situations that we are in here in the UK and obviously through their own influences respectively. Walk with me by Leaf Dog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHIF7LOo7mw Anything by Jam Baxter (his lyrics are genius, here is some of his bars over a random instrumental): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuJbUP0Hld0 England by Jehst: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76H5ukE3tYI&feature=related This track describes some of the situations in the UK and is placed rather well along with footage of the riots that took place last year. US acts: Above the clouds by Gangstarr featuring Inspektah Deck from WU-Tang Clan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IoPeNC4k_0 I have a feeling the lyrics of Guru the MC from gangstarr will resonate with a few of you, he was way ahead of his time and I think he had a very advanced spiritual side. Sunshower by the RZA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4okfrkpIYLs Same thing goes for the RZA as what i said about Guru, I have a few books by him and he is very wise learning lessons through life and from eastern asian influences. The lyrics in this song take you on a journey that has many hidden lessons contained within. This is from another very intelligent artist: Mathematics by Mos Def http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5vw4ajnWGA&feature=related And lastly from the third king of Hip-Hop: Put it on by Big L http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBrzEVJwYFg I just realised I haven't mentioned I am a massive Bob Marley fan, I have every song I could find by him. As too answer your question all music makes me happy, it is a passion and I can always find something in any type of sound and music that I find pleasing. Thank you for listening if you decided to give it a try! answered 30 Oct '12, 18:44 lastplacefavourite one of my favourite rappers from the uk has uploaded a video on youtube of their new song. It shows knowledge of a lot of subjects and its evident he understands something as his self run record label is getting rather big and he is helping to showcase a lot of talent, He even mentions living his life by the law of attraction. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whcfGFGXsbE

Sing-a-longs make me happier for some reason: The Proclaimers - 500 Miles (Family Guy) Elton John - Tiny Dancer (Almost Famous) Kenny Rogers - The Gambler (The Office) The Human Beinz - Nobody But Me (The Office) Wilson Philips - Hold On (Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle) Gladys Knight & The Pips - Midnight Train to Georgia (30 Rock) I'll add more later. That's all I have for now... answered 27 Nov '12, 11:50 searcher |
