Spiritually, for abundance, is it better to donate items or sell them? I have been doing a declutter and have turned up a number of clothes that I wish to release. Normally, I would donate them as I am comfortably off and time is a bigger priority than making five or so dollars. However, my current circumstances mean that I am not in work (maternity leave) and my husband is also currently not working, so we are living on savings. We have enough to live off for several months, and to be honest, I have complete faith that we will be fine until I am ready to leave my baby and return to work. I also think that sell selling things online is a lot of work for the small return. Spiritually, I'm not sure what is the best way to keep open the flow of abundance... I'm leaning towards donate as I am viewing selling them, despite the financial return, with heavy, negative feelings, however part of me feels I am taking the easy route and just throwing money/abundance away by donating them. What are your thoughts on this? asked 11 Feb '19, 06:17 Frangipani |
This is really only something that you can answer for yourself. If you have a strong belief that it is better to sell your clothes for abundance, in a spiritual way, then that will be the outcome you will receive. If you have a strong belief that it is better to donate your clothes for abundance, in a spiritual way, then that will be the outcome you will receive. There is no right or wrong answer here really. It simply comes down to a choice.
Sounds like you may very well be answering yourself right here. That sentence oozes confidence and a knowing that you have a strong belief that everything will work out no matter what you do or don't do.
Also sounds like you are leaning a certain way from this sentence. I would suggest just to follow you emotions and your inner guidance and instincts. This is why anyone answering this question can only share an opinion. Your inner guidance will overtake everything in the end anyway.
You can never throw abundance away. It has far more to do with money and finances than most people think. There is plenty to go around for everyone for 100 lifetimes. The outer reality of physical human beings and the news want to tell us otherwise for a system of control but it is all just an illusion. There is always enough. We just get so mesmerized sometimes by this structure of money and not-enough-ness, that we start to believe it and then the next and most obvious step would then be to manifest that lack filled reality from the dis-empowering belief. Just to add a personal thought of my own, and not to influence you in any way, but to donate something for someone else is one of the most powerful things we can do. It's simply an energy transfer. Another person can gain an immense amount of happiness and joy from an object that we deemed not useful for us anymore. Energy and frequency exchange really are a simple process. @Frangipani It's my pleasure @Marin It's your unique personal reality bubble you are playing in, so if your intent is strong and pure enough, I guess a particular parallel version of me will have no choice in the matter :)

I agree with Cory; one of the best ways to create "flow" in one's life is to begin by simply giving of yourself. It really does feel good to give, and nothing will come into a life if nothing goes out. It is as if the cup to receive begins full. The only way to receive anything more is to make room in the cup by pouring out some of the contents! Giving away unneeded clothing is so very easy, and I promise you, there are many people out there who need it. If it wasn't for places like Good Will and the Salvation Army, I think I would be naked! (LOL) I not only donate, but rely on these places to get much needed clothing for myself when I have a need for it. In answering your question, I thought that perhaps you would like to hear from someone on the receiving end of your donation. I think about the people who donate when I am in such a store, and often wonder if they know that I am very grateful to them! Donate the clothing. You'll be glad you did, and a blessing will come back to you. Jaianniah answered 12 Feb '19, 21:17 Jaianniah |
Give and it shall be given unto you. Sell and it shall be sold unto you. If you want to receive freely, then you should give freely. Love understands and is patient with us, but we should make an effort to do the loving thing and realize that the energy we put out, we get back. answered 04 Aug '19, 11:56 arpgme |
