What does this mean to you? How can we apply this adults?
Luke 18:16-17 asked 31 Jan '11, 18:42 Back2Basics Barry Allen ♦♦ |
A child is full of awe, wonder and excitement, a child accepts without suspicion of being tricked. A child accepts without fear of being hurt or making the wrong choice. When we bring fear with us we bring something to fear with us, if I am having a dream and in my dream I have fear I soon find something to fear, ahhhhhhh I was right there was something here to fear!!!!!! But consider this, we are players in a play that we are writing as we go along in thought. We are the ones making the predestination of our experiences in an infinitesimal moment before we experience it by our expectations. A child has no expectations, a child wants to know what is there and explores with no expectation but wonder and awe. There is a comic in the paper called Lio and in it this little boy has all these "evil" supernatural experiences. Monsters, devils, the living dead, vampires all these are his friends. We can look at this from an adult perspective and say that kid is the omen child what is he suppose to be the Anti-Christ child? But if I think back to the movie Frankenstein, there was a scene where the monster found this little girl, she talked to him, she played with him on the teeter-totter she showed him her dolly. He did not try to kill her he did not try to harm her, she in her child innocence controlled the monster without even knowing it. I think this is the same with this Lio his child heart and mind has no fear of those things and his love shines through so he controls the things most fear. answered 31 Jan '11, 19:05 Wade Casaldi 2
good points, we really are creating outcomes by our expectations, and children are free of this.

"The Kingdom of God is within you." The Spirit of a child has the purest and highest connection to The Source of All that incarnates on Earth, because a child's spirit is still in full integrity with The Kingdom of God, demonstrated by the unconditional Love and pure Joy that children display. What The Master is telling us, is that in order to receive the Peace, Joy and to be fit to enter into that Blissful State of Mind, know as Heaven (contained within The Kingdom (Mind) of God), you must be reborn and reconnect to the Mind of God; the pathways to The Kingdom (Mind) of God are filled with Unconditional Love, Peace, Joy and Power. A child will follow his natural curiosity and desires of his Spirit and is fearless in regard to the opinions of others; these are the humble attributes that allow for reconnection to The Kingdom of God and all its Blessings. answered 01 Feb '11, 01:28 Mustapha nicely put, thank you.

The journey of return is a journey of no comparisons. In our trip, we build an inventory of the world. Big, tall, wide, fat, pretty, ugly etc. It is our lesson to be able to squeeze between our interpretations of the world in order to come to a universal truth that everything is relative and constantly changing. As adults, we rely on our choices to survive and manage, but sometimes we screen out things that could have helped us. As a child, means without judgment. The kingdom is WITHOUT judgment allowing us to be totally free within. answered 01 Feb '11, 20:14 The Knights Alchemy |
I see the child as the next purest in heart, next to adults. So, the message is intended for the adult to be like the child, before he can enter into the Kingdom of God! The message is also a spiritual conviction meant to challenge the adult to be like the child pure in heart in the sight of God! answered 01 Feb '11, 06:52 Inactive User ♦♦ |
the child looks up to his elders, in innocence, and knowing there is yet much to learn, answered 03 Feb '11, 02:43 fred |
A child comes expecting, trusting, accepting, pure and uninfluenced yet by the world. The child puts his tooth under his pillow expecting money in it's place in the morning. A child hangs up her stocking expecting Santa to come and put good things in it. (It's unfortunate that we lie to our kids about these things, I believe it affects their ability to trust their parents once they have found out they were lying to them.) When we come to Christ, we must come expecting that what He says is true, trusting, hoping and uninfluenced by the boundaries of the world as we see it. Jesus told his desciples that they had seen Him do great things, but that they would do greater things. That is where the kingdom of heaven is, where we are in that place of trust and faith that allows us that power that He promised. But the Church fell asleep and lost that connection, that power. Peter walked on water as long as he believed. It was when he doubted that he fell. He didn't believe Jesus when He told peter to do it. The faith of a child would allow you to trust Jesus enough to walk on the water even though the boundaries of the world say that we cannot. It would be much easier if Jesus was in the flesh standing before us walking on the water like Peter saw Him. Faith and hope have been diluted by toothfairies and santa clause and easter bunnies so that Jesus has just become one more mythological being that only exists in our imagination. Christianity has been separated from it's supernatural source, and has given their powers over to those whom they call new age or some other scary cult that is not of Jesus. The Church has become a platform for politics while the powers that Jesus gave us were given over to mysticism. This is the adult view of heaven. So to come as a child is to come without judgement, fear, doubt. It is to come with trust, faith, hope and love expecting great things, expecting to do great things. answered 26 Feb '11, 17:37 Fairy Princess this is true.....

the child is pure and innocent not tainted by ego and judgement. darkness will not come in the light. the kingdom is light. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, http://bible.cc/mark/10-15.htm Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. Little children are simple and pure. We should, in our minds, clear away all the adult garbage and worry- the fears, the unfulfilled dreams, the mistakes... And receive the Love of God like a child- without thought, without fear, without doubt that God can do anything. It is the Essence of Holiness. It is the Essence of Being- and Being One with God.
