I am grateful that I have a wife and family that I love and whom loves me that I can share experiences with and learn together. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to do creative, fulfilling work that supports me and my family in a way that I don't have to worry too much about money. I am grateful that God has seen fit to give me some modest talents with which I can pursue happiness and fulfillment. I am grateful that I am in good health, and have the opportunity to take care of myself. I am grateful that I have purpose and worth. I am grateful for the people (and pets) in my life that have changed my perspective. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to learn and grow from this life, and to see beauty in the people and things around me. answered 15 Nov '09, 23:05 Vesuvius Wow! I try to practice "gratitude" as often as possible throughout the day. I am grateful for a lot of things but I won't go into the specifics since they are personal and therefore not important :) I try to say "Thank you" as soon as I wake up in the morning. I often fail to do it first thing in the morning but I catch myself within 10 minutes or so and I say and feel it. I don't mean anything in particular, I am simply thankful for this new day and the opportunities it will bring to me. Then during the day, when I see something that is in harmony with what I want to experience or when I see something beautiful, I mentally extend gratitude to the Universe/God. When there are things that are not in alignment with what I want, I try to find a lesson in the unpleasant experience and I say something like "thank you for this lesson". In the evening I usually do one of the meditations from Wayne Dyer's book "Manifest your destiny", which is basically going through all the things I am grateful for, while reciting the mantra "om". EDIT: after posting this I realized that I am totally not answering the question :) To summarize: As much as possible I try to see the whole human experience as a great opportunity and to be grateful for everything that comes into my life, while focusing mostly on beauty, joy and all the things that I want to see in the world. answered 16 Nov '09, 06:04 Toshiro As my feet hit the floor in the morning I say,Thank you for the opportunity to live in a state of contentment.I am also looking for things to be grateful for all day long, never really have to look too hard. Thank you!

Hey Roy, are you quoting someone or are those your own words? I learned this "technique" from Wayne Dyer's movie "The Shift".

Toshiro
Toshiro, I never saw the movie The Shift but I did read Change your Thoughts, Change your Life by Wayne Dyer some time ago and that has just stuck with me.You are very perceptive :)
