Consider: if we say we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, what do you think? I was reading 1 John 1:5-7 and I was inspired to ask this question. asked 19 Aug '11, 06:47 Inactive User ♦♦ |
Vee, this is a good question! I asked the reverse of the same question here, when I asked if we equate light with goodness due to evolution and our affinity for the sun...In other words, I was wondering what possible connection there could be with our feeling of "good" and "God" with "Light". Yes, I believe that God is all goodness, literally, all Light. The tricky part is when you feel some sort of sin, and then "remove" yourself a bit from God out of feelings of shame and remorse. You lose some of that "Light", and you lose the sense of connectiveness to God. Now this part is important: GOD NEVER MOVED!!!! GOD WAS, IS, AND ALWAYS SHALL LOVE US.....AMEN! God took care of our "apartness" from Him when we think we have done wrong by the sacrifice of His Son. Our debts are clear. The Old Ways are over...Don't forget that! Say sorry, make amends, and move on. Because God is nothing but Loving and Good, He already knows our hearts and minds..He even understands what motivates us when we do wrong! Now, THAT is LIGHT! Thanks for the set of good questions...It's nice to see you posting again! Blessings, Jai answered 19 Aug '11, 14:14 Jaianniah Thank you for your answer: your second paragraph is right on target, yes indeed you are right, and sometimes we are ashamed of ourselves.

@Jai: thank you for your encouragement, I learn so much from both the questions, and the answers; it is very enlightening, and I guess by now you know that I love all the members on this site, and that each of you know that I love to write and ask questions; and I love to read your answers, since everyone has so much to share, and to give in their own unique way. So I am not perfect, but I love sharing my wisdom with everyone on Inward Quest, and I do apologize for my imperfections, but I guess that is what makes me human. Love you all!

Matthew 18:16 But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.'John 14:17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.John 15:26 "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. i am in the light. in truth i tell you if you see God and talk with him you would see it is the truth. you would also see that he knows all and does not judge you. and he gave you free will to experience what ever you want. so experience and enjoy. answered 20 Aug '11, 02:45 white tiger I do believe that we are all in the light, and it is the truth, because we would not be able to see each other, and share with each other, and to be apart of this light. Thank you.
