Compared to the heavenly worlds we are 'beastly', not having fully mastered the art and craft of Life (and Love).

I can't help wondering if the conversion of 666 to 999 is the 'secret code' for interpreting the wisdom teaching of the Hanged Man in the Tarot (which was a method of transmitting 'the mysteries' in more treacherous times).

999 is just one short of 1000 which was regarded as the number of perfection.. so the highest we could attain whilst still in the body would be 999.

Mebb.. I have only been on this site for a short time - but in all that time I have never seen ANYONE discredit God. I have seen genuine seekers after Truth. and there is nothing higher than Truth, for God is Truth.

Re your statement that too many people here thinking they are capable of ANYTHING - you just promised someone here, unconditionally, that she will end up in heaven and that she should trust you on that promise. You practice what you preach :)

People who think they are part of the 'elect' worry me a tad... they are telling me that the God of Love, the Father of All that IS, has favourites - and is even willing to kill those that don't curry favour with Him.

Meb - could you kill one of your own children - even if he was being a real pain in the butt and a cause for concern. I am not a betting woman, but I KNOW you couldn't. A God of Love most certainly would not.

And before you tell me about all those mass murders, annihilations, women and innocent children included that appear in the Old Testament... have you ever asked yourself whether maybe on those occasions God may well have been misidentified. The Bible does tell us that no-one can look on God and live.. that that God was jealous. Jealous? of who?

Strangely enough, that's my phone number! The concept of the beast is but a thought form meant to bring out horror in the minds of the masses. For each imagines the worst him he is capable of. The beast lies deep within each and every one us and most chain it to keep it there instead of bathing it with love. Think of the yin/yang concept.

As I see it from a numerology point of view, 6 is the number of Venus, of physical Pleasures and Senses like sex, eating etc. When 6 is for three times (that is 666) we have the Physical World of Pleasures and Senses in the highest degree. Stucking on Earth matters is considered to be an obstacle for human spirituality and evolution to higher levels. That is why 666 is demonized by christianity. Because it represents the binding of Humanity to earth matters.

you know what, and forgive me for this becuase i know its irrelavent. but it seems like many of you are forgetting that there still is a creator. it is good 2 grow and expand but we must remmember, god still does exist and we still are only human. i know that we have much power and that our mind is an amazing tool, but we still must not forget our positions as humans. god is the almighty and we can never take credit for what he has created NOR think that we can ever be like him( or equal to him). that is exactly what lucifer thought( the highest of the angels. satan) and look what god did to him?? he cast him out of heaven and cursed him for eternity. listen, god loves us all and of course wants the best for us and he has given us much power (especially in regards to the mind) BUT he still expects us to be humble and give credit to him. if it were not for him, we would simply NOT exist. so we must never forget that. also why do you think atlantis dissapeared so quckly?? the tower of babel?? if you are aware of the biblical story about the tower of babel humans were trying to build a tower that could reach the heavens, for they said " we can be like god, we are great" and what happened to the tower of babel?? god PURPOSELY destroyed it then seperated the people giving them differnt languages, that way they became weak becuase they were not united. and im not saying that being united is bad, no OF COURSE ITS GREAT! One of my very favourite saints is St Joseph of Cupertino.. he was a dullard but so spiritually evolved that they actually had to tie him down so he wouldn't float too high up in the air during prayer - TRUE! I got lost... what was the question? I believe that we are all a loving creation of God. I also believe that not all human beings accept this fact. I also believe that God gave us all free will. Is it not amazing? having an all powerful loving creator, who did not crated a bunch of robots to do just as He wished. he really gave us free will. To chose to love or not. It all begins with me though. However, I am still confused about 666 and 999?

From a geometric point of view the number 6 can be represented by the hexagram, a six pointed star figure and a compound of two equilateral triangles ... the number 3 can be represented by an equilateral triangle ... so the number 666 possesses a combination of these sacred geometry forms.

From an energetic point of view the number 6 is equilibrium between the ascending fire forces and the descending water forces in other words a good balance between yin and yang ... the compound of two equilateral triangles forming a hexagram can be seen as the combination of the four elements fire, air, water and earth.

From a human emotional point of view the whole structure vibrates harmony, equilibrium and love.

As explained above, 6 being the 6th sphere (Tipharth) on the Qabalah, represents all Divine human beings, or Divine avatars in human form (beast). The 6th Sphere is also ruled by the Sun, and again alludes to all Solar deity worship (including the Son (Sun) of Man).

The letter Vav in Hebrew also has the value of 6, and is pictured in the Tarot as the Hierophant. One of the meanings of this relates to all exoteric worldy religions and "orthodox" institutions.. the dinosaurs of society.. the true "Beasts" responsible for a lot of stunted growth (spiritually speaking), which must one day be overcome by the forces of Light and true spiritual growth.

I think it represents man in his unawakened state and 777 would be man in the awakened state of perfection.
