Spidey sense of course is a reference to Spiderman, a comic wherein the hero has an intuitive sense that warns him of impending danger. I will sometimes get very strong impulses or intuitions, though they are definitely not limited to danger. Sometimes when I follow random impulses like "Go to this location" something random and unexpected will happen, such as running into old friends I haven't seen in a long time. Whenever I get particularly strong impulses, I get the chills. Specifically around my shoulders, biceps, and elbows. Sometimes if I'm feeling particularly relaxed and try to manifest something I'll even give myself the chills, though usually the self induced ones are on my forearms. ANYWAY, I've heard of some people saying they get raised hairs, sometimes on the back of the neck, other times in unusual [to me] locations like the feet or back of hand. Others get internal 'aches', common in people who know what weather is coming. Others still that I've heard of have visual indicators, such as their entire vision flashing a specific color for a fraction of a second. The reason I don't refer to this as the 'sixth sense' is because that is commonly attributed with the third eye, which is also commonly attributed with a visual sensory perception of energy. Since I don't personally have a visual trigger, I separate the concepts even though it is likely they are related. So: Do you have an 'intuitive trigger?' If so, where does it manifest and what does it report? As always, thoughts / opinions are welcome. [The point of this question is actually for me to hopefully learn more about the concept and perhaps direct it more effectively, which is why I want to hear other's experiences. A direct response without a personal story is also acceptable, etc.] asked 05 Mar '12, 20:57 Snow Barry Allen ♦♦

No that is a misrepresentation of the sixth sense. The sixth sense is actually one word for a higher level spiritual duplicate of the other five senses. There are heightened senses of seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, feeling and knowing. Vision, audio, olfactory, gustatory, tactile, cognitive. Different people develop different senses after their third degree attunement. Each are a different gift to be used. So some people are triggered in one way, while some people are triggered in another way. Each person is different in how he/she receives this extra sensory input. I think it has to do with frequency and tuning, just as vibration becomes sound becomes light the faster it moves. I have talked a little about how to develop your sixth sense here. answered 05 Mar '12, 23:00 Wade Casaldi I thought the sixth sense was that 'knowing', that last one. Since the others are your 5 normal senses. Either way, this furthers the reason I tried to separate this intuitive concept from the sixth sense and/or the third eye, though I would probably equate intuition with the descriptor you used 'knowing', but still it's all semantics describing a phenomenon that isn't dependent on the terminology used to describe it. ^_^

Thanks for the link to the other topic. =) I like your answer.. I've actually been consciously trying to raise my awareness, it's quite a pain! But it gives me an excuse to do goofy things like meditate by a river while trying to identify all of the different sounds, close and far. ^_^

Greetings: I am happy to see this subject...Spidey Sense discussed here. I think u picked up on my energies... "ha" and wrote this. I've wanted to discuss this subject for more than a week, but I was too busy to take the time to be here. However, I have triggers in many ways, some of which I do not pay attention to,some are so obviously strong,I cannot ignore. One that is constantly active with me is the flow of energies across the miles. Almost without exception when I think of someone, I hear from them within 2 days...even long lost friends. (I am a high energy person, (type A) I allow for my high energies reaching people. Then there's the part of KNOWING. I've termed the word "KNOWING" for myself in a way of trying to explain to someone what I mean. ( I do not talk about my KNOWING to everyone) I seem to know things before they happen. I see things in "Pictures" even a word turns into a picture. I pick up vibes easily and patterns of people seem to be accurate (that could be based on my education and the human conditions) Anyway, I very often doubt myself, feeling that I might be paranoid, jealous, negative, or just being silly. I wonder how many people see in pictures. I am starting to research that subject. I will appreciate all thoughts of this. answered 06 Mar '12, 12:25 gaiaverne |
well once someone tried to punch me in the back of the head with out me knowing he was there; i have turn around and grab is fist. i do not know if that is what you are reffering to. or knowing when someone will jump on you before he start moving when he put the though in is mind.another time i have got a feeling to leave something at my place and not bring it with me to a party. and i should have listen to it. other time it is from people that say something and do something else lets just say dishonnest. they try to convince you of their good intent; the weird part is that they think they are intelligent doing that. you could also add finding someone in a city with out knowing where that person is. Jesus said, "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you. For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. [And there is nothing buried that will not be raised.]" http://www.gnosis.org/naghamm/gosthom.html Intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge without inference or the use of reason.[1] "The word 'intuition' comes from the Latin word 'intueri', which is often roughly translated as meaning 'to look inside'’ or 'to contemplate'."[2] Intuition provides us with beliefs that we cannot necessarily justify. For this reason, it has been the subject of study in psychology, as well as a topic of interest in the supernatural. The "right brain" is popularly associated with intuitive processes such as aesthetic abilities.[3][4][5] Some scientists have contended that intuition is associated with innovation in scientific discovery.[6] Intuition is also a common subject of New Age writings. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intuition_(psychology) here is a link to a video about spidey sense: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPqPv2SKYUE or this link this one show what it is like when it happens time is slowing down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CO1v7NmhN4&feature=related well hope it helped you out. experience and enjoy. answered 07 Mar '12, 03:07 white tiger lol.. At your first paragraph: Yes, those are the types of events that was the point here. Pretty much all of those were perfect examples of what I was looking for details about.. But from there on.. I appreciate the definition of intuition, as well as the links to the spider man clips. I admit I've seen the movie, as well as many of the cartoons.. All that being said, I'm confused as to why you included any of it here.

I have written about this recently- the ESP that seems to come and go- the "Knowing" and "Seeing'. Check out my recently posted question here for more. I get nudged by an "Other Sense". I think it is angels, but some would disagree with me. I love the idea of the "Spidey-Sense". What triggers mine? I dunno. It just happens, and I get chills, too, when it does. Thanks for posting this again. Jai answered 28 Apr '15, 05:49 Jaianniah |
