@Supergirl , I think what you do is much like the manifestation Box , set and forget , even in that it takes a wee bit of time . I can do it with things like parking spots , coffee , appts etc ,one thought sent out and yep its there ... bigger things hmmm, lol ;-)

Ha ! in the writing of this, tail end came a revelation, thank you SuperGirl ♥♥♥

When someone asks for "truth", it gets a bit tricky because the Law of Attraction will make anything true that you believe :)

But as regards this principle of 17 seconds of pure uncontradicted thought, I've never found any evidence in my life to suggest it isn't valid.

The full "action hours" relationship that Abraham talk about is...

  • 17 seconds is worth 2,000 hours of work (about 1 year)
  • 34 seconds is worth 20,000 hours of work (about 10 years)
  • 51 seconds is worth 200,000 hours of work (about 100 years)
  • 68 seconds is worth 2,000,000 hours of work (about 1,000 years)

Once you've reached 68 seconds, you've gone past the energy requirements for something to physically manifest so Abraham don't generally talk about a greater time period than that.

Remember that these time indications apply to uncontradicted thought only...Abraham have said that most people rarely get past the 8 second point without a contradiction in thought. For further information, see What is an example of a pure, uncontradicted thought?

For a full Abraham quote on the 17-seconds subject, see What role does time management play in the Reality-Creation process?

Hi @Stingray - Have you found that this is a valuable tool for you? I'm trying to picture how you would put this into practice on a consistant basis. Is it basically part of your meditation time, maybe? Is it accomplished when I use @Eldavo's Apple Technique, http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/62369/the-apple-technique-for-manifesting, or is that a different vibe?

@Grace- I think Stingray is just making clarifications upon how thought and the dynamics of reality creation work. Theoretically, a person who engages in the apple technique would probably be engaging in this uncontradicted thought information without their knowledge.

@stingray- thank you for ur amazing answer.. :)

@stingray- so,if suppose i write a thought 13 times on a paper .., it wld ofcose take more than 17 secs to write than sentence. so.,it wld also be called as focussing as described by ahraham?

(07 Nov '12, 02:50) supergirl

@Grace - As @Nikulas implies, I see this idea more as an indication of what is going on behind the scenes rather than a tool in itself. I've tried using it as a tool on occasion but I always end up interrupting my flow of thought by checking the clock instead of enjoying my thoughts :) I find it's better to just "milk" good feeling thoughts as long as possible instead

(07 Nov '12, 05:56) Stingray

@supergirl - Yes, you could do that however if I was writing the same thought again and again on paper, I would quickly lose interest in it and it would feel like a chore rather than something that is maintaining uncontradicted thought. If you want a process that keeps your attention on a subject for longer periods without losing interest, take a look at Abraham's technique called Scripting

@stingray- yup.., thank you :))
