How do you really know for sure that these elightened ones have your best interest at heart. I have heard that "Good feels Good", I suppose a methampethamine addict will say the same thing as the drug slowly destroys their body, Just because something feels good or right does not make it so.

I pose a question, what if there were intelligent beings that have the power of telepathy and were able to make you believe they were serving your best interest when after all you were actually serving theirs. And theirs was the destruction of the human race. Would you be able to tell they were manipulating your mind?

I don't believe you could, On the other hand if Good Spirits/visitors/angels do exist, then the demons/evil beings/devil have to exist, since all religions have recorded both. So how do you know demon from angel? A wise man once said the Devils greatest accomplishment was getting people to believe he does not exist.

What do you think?

@GoodIsEvil - Since this question was prompted by a discussion we both had, I feel obliged to point out to you that my last answer concerning this idea would still apply to your question: http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/6754/connecting-with-spirits-ouija-board-vs-channeling/6756#6756 so I'll leave the floor open for others to voice their opinions, unless you are desperate to hear more of my ramblings on this topic :)

I asked a similar question here: http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/1903/how-do-your-reconcile-the-emotional-guidance-system-with-addiction, but none of the answers are wholly satisfactory.

(09 Jul '10, 19:37) Vesuvius

Vesuvius I don't see how your post is similar to this at all. Your talking about addiction and I am talking about trusting the the spirits/angels that people say talk to them and give them advice.

Stingray, your answer about the demon is only valid if the entity wants you to die, suppose for the sake of argument it only wants you to miss the opportunity to be happy with the right person for the rest of your life. It directs you to go in a different direction, therefore missing the perfect love. Stingray you are misdirecting people are you a DEMON?

(10 Jul '10, 01:20) Goodisevil

@Goodisevil - Yes, you're absolutely right - I must be a Demon by your definition because I would say perfect love will never be found in anything outside of you but only inside of you. And, yes, by your standards, I am misdirecting people... away from the fear you wish them to experience and towards self-empowerment, happiness and freedom :)

Yes, they ALL exist, but we do not have to fear anything.

If we feel a demon or devil is bothering us, we simply have to command it to be gone in the Name of Jesus Christ, and It must go! I cannot emphasize this enough! Christ was given Authority over everything, so if we feel evil, we must command it gone, and it will go.

Now, for the good news!

Angels help us all the time! They truly do exist. I saw Mary when I was 24, and she was totally real and totally a Being of great goodness. She stood by the side of my bed, and spoke to me for about twenty minutes. I have had the Holy Spirit whirl about my room, and create enough wind to ruffle the pages of my Bible. Angels have saved the lives of many a person, and aided many more. You Can feel them near at times. Angels leave me feathers all the time; I have a whole collection framed from just when my Dad died. I found a feather in my visor of my car yesterday as I left the ER (I fell and sprained my wrist...no big deal...).

So this is the Truth as I see it. Nobody can influence you without your consent, and that goes for humans, too!

Many blessings, Jai

Here's a story that you might have read on the Internet, called, "A Dad's Story" (origin unknown)

A Dad's Story

Throughout our lives we are blessed with spiritual experiences, some of which are very sacred and confidential, and others, although sacred, are meant to be shared. Last summer my family had a spiritual experience that had a lasting and profound impact on us, one we feel must be shared. It's a message of love. It's a message of regaining perspective, and restoring proper balance and renewing priorities. In humility. I pray that I might, in relating this story, give you a gift my little son, Brian gave our family one summer day last year.

On July 22nd I was in route to Washington DC for a business trip. It was all so very ordinary, until we landed in Denver for a plane change. As I collected my belongings from the overhead bin, an announcement was made for Mr. Lloyd Glenn to see the United Customer Service Representative immediately. I thought nothing of it until I reached the door to leave the plane and I heard a gentleman asking every male if they were Mr. Glenn. At this point I knew something was wrong and my heart sunk.

When I got off the plane a solemn-faced young man came toward me and said, "Mr. Glenn there is an emergency at your home. I do not know what the emergency is, or who is involved, but I will take you to the phone so you can call the hospital."

My heart was now pounding, but the will to be calm took over. Woodenly, I followed this stranger to the distant telephone where I called the number he gave me for the Mission Hospital. My call was put through to the trauma center where I learned that my three-year-old son had been trapped underneath the automatic garage door for several minutes, and that when my wife had found him he was dead. CPR had been performed by a neighbor, who is a doctor, and the paramedics had continued the treatment as Brian was transported to the hospital. By the time of my call, Brian was revived and they believed he would live, but they did not know how much damage had been done to his brain, nor to his heart. They explained that the door had completely closed on his little sternum right over his heart. He had been severely crushed.

After speaking with the medical staff, my wife sounded worried but not hysterical, and I took comfort in her calmness. The return flight seemed to last forever, but finally I arrived at the hospital six hours after the garage door had come down. When I walked into the intensive care unit, nothing could have prepared me to see my little son laying so still on a great big bed with tubes and monitors everywhere.

He was on a respirator. I glanced at my wife who stood and tried to give me a reassuring smile. It all seemed like a terrible dream. I was filled in with the details and given a guarded prognosis. Brian was going to live, and the preliminary tests indicated that his heart was ok — two miracles, in and of themselves. But only time would tell if his brain received any damage.

Throughout the seemingly endless hours, my wife was calm. She felt that Brian would eventually be all right. I hung on to her words and faith like a lifeline. All that night and the next day Brian remained unconscious. It seemed like forever since I had left for my business trip the day before. Finally at two o'clock that afternoon, our son regained consciousness and sat up uttering the most beautiful words I have ever heard spoken, He said, "Daddy hold me," and he reached for me with his little arms.

By the next day he was pronounced as having no neurological or physical deficits, and the story of his miraculous survival spread throughout the hospital. You cannot imagine our gratitude and joy.

As we took Brian home we felt a unique reverence for the life and love of our Heavenly Father that comes to those who brush death so closely. In the days that followed there was a special spirit about our home. Our two older children were much closer to their little brother. My wife and I were much closer to each other, and all of us were very close as a whole family. Life took on a less stressful pace. Perspective seemed to be more focused, and balance much easier to gain and maintain. We felt deeply blessed. Our gratitude was truly profound.

Almost a month later to the day of the accident, Brian awoke from his afternoon nap and said, "Sit down mommy. I have something to tell you." At this time in his life, Brian usually spoke in small phrases, so to say a large sentence surprised my wife. She sat down with him on his bed and he began his sacred and remarkable story.

"Do you remember when I got stuck under the garage door? Well it was so heavy and it hurt really bad. I called to you, but you couldn't hear me. I started to cry, but then it hurt too bad. And then the 'birdies' came." "The birdies?" my wife asked, puzzled.

"Yes," he replied. "The birdies made a whooshing sound and flew into the garage. They took care of me."

"They did?"

"Yes," he said. "One of the 'birdies' came and got you. She came to tell you I got stuck under the door."

A sweet reverent feeling filled the room. The spirit was so strong and yet lighter than air. My wife realized that a three year-old had no concept of death and spirits, so he was referring to the beings who came to him from beyond as "birdies" because they were up in the air like birds that fly.

"What did the birdies look like?" she asked.

Brian answered, "They were so beautiful. They were dressed in white; all white. Some of them had green and white. But some of them had on just white."

"Did they say anything?"

"Yes," he answered. "They told me the baby would be alright."

"The baby?" my wife asked, confused.

And Brian answered, "The baby laying on the garage floor." He went on, "You came out and opened the garage door and ran to the baby. You told the baby to stay and not leave."

My wife nearly collapsed upon hearing this, for she had indeed gone and knelt beside Brian's body and seeing his crushed chest and unrecognizable features, knowing he was already dead, she looked up around her and whispered, "Don't leave us Brian, please stay if you can."

As she listened to Brian telling her the words she had spoken, she realized that the spirit had left his body and was looking down from above on this little lifeless form. "Then what happened?" she asked.

"We went on a trip," he said, "far, far away."

He grew agitated trying to say the things he didn't seem to have the words for. My wife tried to calm and comfort him, and let him know it would be okay. He struggled with wanting to tell something that obviously was very important to him, but finding the words was difficult.

"We flew so fast up in the air. They're so pretty Mommy," he added. "And there is lots and lots of 'birdies.'"

My wife was stunned. Into her mind the sweet comforting spirit enveloped her more soundly, but with an urgency she had never before known.

Brian went on to tell her that the 'birdies' had told him that he had to come back and tell everyone about the 'birdies.' He said they brought him back to the house and that a big fire truck, and an ambulance were there. A man was bringing the baby out on a white bed and he tried to tell the man the baby would be okay, but the man couldn't hear him. He said, "birdies told him he had to go with the ambulance, but they would be near him. He said, they were so pretty and so peaceful, and he didn't want to come back. And then the bright light came. He said that the light was so bright and so warm, and he loved the bright light so much. Someone was in the bright light and put their arms around him, and told him, "I love you but you have to go back."

"You have to play baseball, and tell everyone about the birdies." Then the person in the bright light kissed him and waved bye-bye. "Then whoosh, the big sound came and they went into the clouds."

The story went on for an hour. He taught us that "birdies" were always with us, but we don't see them because we look with our eyes and we don't hear them because we listen with our ears. But they are always there, you can only see them in here (he put his hand over his heart). They whisper the things to help us to do what is right because they love us so much. Brian continued, stating, "I have a plan, Mommy. You have a plan. Daddy has a plan. Everyone has a plan. We must all live our plan and keep our promises."

The "birdies help us to do that cause they love us so much." In the weeks that followed, he often came to us and told all, or part of it again and again. Always the story remained the same. The details were never changed or out of order. A few times he added further bits of information and clarified the message he had already delivered. It never ceased to amaze us how he could tell such detail and speak beyond his ability when he spoke of his "birdies."

Everywhere he went, he told strangers about the "birdies." Surprisingly, no one ever looked at him strangely when he did this.

Rather, they always get a softened look on their face and smiled. Needless to say, we have not been the same ever since that day, and I pray we never will be.

Your spirit inside of your human physical body knows God, the holy angels of God, and Jesus Christ. When you have develop a personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ than you know that you know that you know! As for whether others can telepathically make you believe they are serving your best interest. The answer to most will be yes because people as a whole don't or have not put up a psychic or spiritual shield to protect their minds and bodies from attacks of others mind power. People don't really think about the fact whether others may be trying to control their minds with their minds or not it has not occur to them.

God and Jesus Christ has all power for those that believe in them they are real and loving and powerful and will put a protective shield around them. Whether you believe in them or not they are real, loving and powerful. The spirit of truth who dwells in a lot of people will let them know what is truthful and real. God made us in his image and he gave us powers that we are just beginning to realize we have because we are heirs to the kingdom of God. When God spoke the word he manifest himself into the man called Jesus Christ through the spoken word of God.

Their are human beings who do telepathic and they know how to put up shields as well.

There are other beings or entities some are good and some or bad are evil and yes there is a devil and demons who can't stand the human beings God created and loves. Some people laugh at the fact and may say that is only in the movies. The movies also try to play like God and Jesus don't have any power when called upon to help them in the movie and what ever bad or evil thing they are praying to keep from happen to them happen anyway. But God and Jesus Christ do have all power but the devil wants you to think God and Jesus Christ has no power and does not love you. But Oh, God and Jesus Christ has all power and does love the human beings sometimes when they don't love themselves and other human beings.

Anyone that has had a near death experience knows that there is life after death and that only the body dies not the soul it is alive and is spiritual.

In this time a lot of people are spiritually, metaphysically and physically unaware of attacks to the mind and the body and the manipulations of the mind. The last frontier is the mind.

It is every humans choice to trust in God and Jesus Christ or not he made them a free moral agent and gave them free will to choose to or not to believe in God, Jesus or what or whomever or not to believe in them that is a choice we all must make.

I've seen some real evil being done in my lifetime, from the animal-like screams of tortured captives in a nearby building to families blown to pieces........Yes, I experienced it all having spent nine years of my childhood in a war zone. And I confirm to you that there is no such thing as a devil or demon. It was all done by fellow human beings believing they were doing the right thing having followed their minds instead of their hearts. We're all capable of great good and great evil,it all exists within us, but we get to choose which one to use. It is time we face ourselves and take responsibilities for our actions instead of looking for outside sources to blame it all upon.

Thank you, namaste

A friend of mine who lived through a war also has your perspective. Can't say I disagree, especially with your last line.

If good exist then evil has to exist also, it is the law of binary opposition. If both did not exist then we could not measure one against the other. That is the truth of the matter.

hmmm.. but the opposite of love isn't hate - it's indifference, apathy or fear

Do you ever considered, how vast the hierarchy may be, whether we are a part of a more complicated system?

why choose to believe that other(potential) planetary life is less spiritually developed than we, and prone to injuring us (mankind on earth)?

Interesting, but how do you support your statement that we are spiritually developed being ourselves. I think a majority of people out there would kill you if you got in the way of their survival. A spiritually developed person would sacrifice themself before allowing injury to others or to save others. And there have been some people who have done just that, but the majority would not. So I find your statement invalid. Sorry

(10 Jul '10, 01:27) Goodisevil

In essence we really do not know for sure, but since we live in a very spiritual world, we believe by faith that this is so!

Also for us to live a very productive life, we will have to trust and believe in someone, or something, to fit in, and to function in society!

Demons from angel: well to one person the demon could be their angel, and to another person their angel could be their demon, so it is for you to decide!

To say that devil does not exist: it is like sort of saying that there is no evil in the world and both you and I know better than that!

The good thing here is that you get to decide for your self!

Hi

Because you specifically asked the difference between how to know good voices from evil, here is some input from my limited experience:

The good energies feel like love energies and you feel an outward expanse. They want you to grow and also not harm anyone in the process. They would also make you more tolerant and patient with others. This could be the key 'harm none'.

Because whenever evil energies are around you want to do things that would harm either you or others around you. You would feel more of a stress energy. You would think only about yourself or your own selfish prosperity. Thoughts like 'what has anyone ever done for me' 'no one loves me' 'everyone here is only thinking of themselves' are also common. That is negative energies would make you contract into yourself and feel more alone and lonely than you really are. These are very distinct feelings and you usually know one from the other when you are under them.

You can use this test for experiences which are smaller in duration. For example a quick word you heard or feeling that you had, was it about love or harm, is it about expansion and giving or is it about contracting within and taking from others.

Finally trust your gut, it is usually correct.

Hope this helped :)

enlighten one is someone that as seen the light that door open only when you are pure of hearth and mind or when you die! and usely enlighten one do a good job at doing good!but enlighten one are not the one seeking fame or riches! they are simple and pure! they could care less about fame and riches! if you give them money they would use it to help them self and other! not to flash and become takin by ego! as for angel and demon you can feel the diference! in life when you talk with someone good and someone bad do you see the difference?
