I have had the pleasure to meet many people from this page inside my work with Treb. No names being shared. BUT, some people do not like the idea of open Identification. In fact Only Wade Casaldi, and Brad Johnson, use their real names here. I do not mean to assume, but I highly doubt Stingray is his Christian name LOL. Nor is any of the other great handles you have all chosen. No offense to anyone here, really. Just observing. Is there a REason for anonymity here ? Is there a reason many people do not use their own name ? And if so do you think it is better this way ? I do not really have a reason or do not really care specifically about this concept. It was only a realization when I had remembered a specific interactions with a few people that I did connect to from here when I did a session with Treb for them. It was made clear not to divulge their names or I.Q. names if I were to release the work publicly. Does this play a part with the negative stigma that surrounds these types of ideals and how they are against the normal? On top of this should we all decide to meet with our real facebook accounts and connect on them one day ? What is the importance for the anonymity ? Just food for thought.

Love n light

@Rob Gauthier - great question! Love it!

Appreciate your discretion in working with clients. This is important. I was in a Tarot class once and a woman was talking about another woman who was cheating on her husband, who was unaware, and mentioned their names. I jumped up, claimed to be a friend of the husband and yelled that I was leaving to go tell him about his wife. I think I made my point.

(15 Jun '13, 08:23) Dollar Bill

@dollar bill.. did u really know him ? lol, Thank u, yes. it is important,, the ones i have connected to from here have always asked to not have their i.d. explained in group, so i havent. :-) i think if it is important to them, it should be to me also.

LeeAnn is indeed my real name, and I communicate with some of those from IQ on other places like FB, where I use my real and full name. That's my choice. I don't hold it against anyone using a pseudonym though; I am connecting to the soul of that person, not their name or made-up name.

I am not sure if I answered your questions fully, but this is how I feel on the subject....it doesn't matter to me. Each has to decide on their own the importance of using their real name or not.

but I highly doubt Stingray is his Christian name

Oh really? The name's Bond...Stingray Bond :)

alt text

But seriously...the random collection of letters that my parents decided to label me with for societal/legal reasons doesn't represent me anymore than @Stingray represents me. Both are equally arbitrary and meaningless and just pander to the need for humans to label (and thereby limit) each other.

At least I chose @Stingray myself :)

Oh, and the message is always more important than the messenger anyway :)

labeling = limiting. As Bashar says, you are a whole new person every nanosecond. Labeling = wanting to prevent that things change. People often don't want people and circumstances to change. They want them to be predictable so they can feel safe in their own world. They want to have prejudices that work for them every time without them having to change their own beliefs. But change is the only constant in this universe. The universe expands constantly. And labeling is quite "anti-expansion" :).

@Stingray - love the sunglasses! And we really love your posts, every one of them is a gem! Particularly like your focus on providing clear operational techniques and you really have a knack for summarizing spiritual thought in a few words!

Your picture, above, looks like Daniel Craig, I would have thought you looked more like Sean Connery.

When I landed at IQ, I had been reading Wayne Dyer - I think it was Wishes Fulfilled. He'd suggested that when you affirm Who You Really Are, it is more powerful to take on the entire attribute you aspire to. I liked it.

So instead of:

  • I am loving - I am Love
  • I am serene - I am Serenity
  • I am peaceful - I am Peace

So when IQ asked me, Who are you? I said, I am Grace.

alt text

I'm glad I wasn't hungry. ;)

And I think it would be great to get together in person. @Jai and @Wade spoke of wanting to build a spiritual retreat center someday. I would love it if they did, and we could all meet there together for a long weekend. Often.

:D

For me, the benefits of anonymity currently outweigh the benefits of using my real name.

The explanation for this is pretty simple. For whatever reasons, I have hitherto manifested a reality in which most of my family, friends, teachers, and business contacts do not believe in the existence of vibrational reality, and believe that physical circumstances matter more than anything else.

This may change in the future, and I hope it does. But in my present reality, the vast majority of these people are not vibrational matches for this sort of knowledge...I know because I've tried to tell some of them. :)

And most of them, if they knew that I believed in the reality of UFOs, alien channelings, manifestation, etc., would think I was insane.

It's just easier for me to maintain harmonious relationships in this current manner, rather than tell them what I really believe.

If I had grown up with a lot of New Age people, and entered a business where most people believed in IQ related concepts, then it would be a completely different matter.

I do have a small number of (non-internet) friends who are getting into this stuff. Some of them I've actually directed to IQ and Stingray's manifesting experiments. But right now it's a very small minority. And I suspect that they are pretty low-key about publicly pushing this stuff as I am.

I do think it would be neat to hang out in person with some of my friends on IQ....but if we do that, I'll probably still use Lozenge123 as my name. :)

Right now it kind of feels like I have two identities, and lead two lives...like Batman, Superman, the Flash, etc.. And that in itself is kind of fun.

When the benefits of using my birth/family name outweigh the benefits of anonymity, then I'll most likely start using it.

I have used my name ever since getting on the internet. I mean if you were to Google my name there are countless pages of just me. I don't mind that myself really. It might bring me more students. I can't say it has yet. I am just comfortable with my name.

I'm on Tagged and Facebook although I haven't frequented them much since being with Jai.

I have posts from Solera11:11 StaryOnes SDDlightworkers, my own ReikiComunity and God Conscious Experiment. As well as Amazon reviews and Banabu reviews. So many that I do not remember too.

ursixx is who I am now. If you want to find me IRL it's not that hard.If you google "ursixx" you get over 5000 hits. So my nom de plume is really quite transparent. I like having the alter-ego ursixx. and being somewhat anonymous does give one a sense of distance from the t.rolls of the internet...

I started here with a handle that wasn't exactly obvious who I was but changed it to Focus Dude (not my real name LOL) because I often share sensitive information about myself and ask deeply personal questions. I don't want my mum, for example, reading what I have to write about. There's a fear in there somewhere but I'm not prepared to do the 'work' just yet and be fully authentic.

So, to the question ... I live in Sydney and would love to meet any forum members in person!

(16 Jun '13, 08:51) TReb Bor yit-NE

I like the idea of a more personal connection with IQ members. I have "met" a few people on the IQ Facebook page. I would like to know more. Perhaps I'll see you there.

On Facebook, check out Prince Charles Chumley. He is our Spiritual spaniel and has a LOT to say! I really enjoy writing from the persona of a loving, but haughty and wise-ass spaniel. He has over 1300 fan-friends. It is weird how he has developed a personality that is somehow distinct from my own. I get messages from people who think that, somehow he is actually writing on FB. Paws to the keyboard.

Since this thread seems to be drifting into why we use monikers, I'll state my reasons.

First, Ayn Rand, in her novel "Atlas Shrugged". Chapter 10 is entitled the Sign of the Dollar. Rand claimed the dollar sign was the symbol not only of the currency, but also the nation, a free economy, and a free mind.

Secondly, "Dollar Bill" is a mnemonic device to help people remember my name. In a memory seminar it was suggested to have a moving image that represented your name. So I came up with a "Dollar Bill waving in a swamp."

I don't particularly care about having my name spread around the internet, even though it is a relatively common name. My wife, Anne and I are semi-retired and not seeking business anymore, just connecting with friends.

We engage in philanthropic support for organizations we like, but we do this through anonymous foundations that we have established. Early on I found that when my name was associated with giving, that I was bombarded by requests from other organizations.

Even our Church receives "anonymous" contributions, ever since a previous pastor told me, "Brother Bill, we have examined your Spiritual Gifts and determined that your Gift is Giving, and we want your support in a building project....." Since when is Giving a Gift of The Spirit?

There was more, and I don't want to go into it, but I replied, "When Buildings, Bodies and Budgets become the main focus of a Pastor, I feel that you have violated the first three Commandments." We found another church and as far as they know, they get the cash we put in the plate. The rest is anonymous.

My point, here is that we enjoy living a relatively low-profile life. Well, aside from two blood red antique Cadillac convertibles! (very large grins). We are not that hard to find, but we do like our privacy.

Anne (No Brainer) and I really love Inward Quest. We have both grown spiritually in many ways. It has been truly one of the high points in our lives.

So, semi-private, semi-retired, and semi-anonymous.

@Dollar Bill Yes your gift story reminds me of my Neo-Tech they would call that pastor a Neo-cheater. Trying to coerce you into giving through any means, guilt, flattery, force is all Neo-Cheating.
