Hello all! I am currently on week 2 of The Master Key System and I would like to know if I should proceed to the next week... (today is technically my last day of the weekly lesson)
If one still has not achieved mastery of inhibiting thoughts (for more than a couple moments at a time) is he encouraged to repeat the week until he can completely inhibit all thought or continue along with the lessons so that eventually it will become easier with time? (In my case it became much easier for me to inhibit thought during this week although every once and a while I start daydreaming during the 15 minutes, then I realize I got off track and start inhibiting thought again. I can completely blank my mind for lets say 10 seconds at a time than I get some images in my minds eye which I will away the moment they pop up. I can completely shut down my inner voice but not the images) I know a similar question has been asked but it only contains 1 answer and i would like to know the opinion of more people, and possibly have a more detailed answer. Thanks in advance!!! asked 19 Jul '13, 15:43 shougo420 Barry Allen ♦♦

To be honest, I don't think anyone is going to make just one pass through the Master Key System and master it completely - both in understanding and in exercises. I read it and practiced it multiple times over the years and still get some new insights out of it if I happen to stumble across passages from it again. This is true of any great "inspired" spiritual work really, even some IQ answers. You can keep revisiting the words from different "vibrational states" within yourself and see different meanings in them, and gain greater levels of clarity from them. I think "inspiration" can transport multiple layers of understanding simultaneously. For that reason, I would tend to favor getting through the lessons on a weekly basis rather than holding up your progress because you feel you haven't fully mastered an exercise. I think most people never actually finish the lessons anyway so they never really discover what the exercises are leading towards. So if you've read and understood a lesson and made (in your opinion) a reasonable attempt at an exercise then I think that's a good enough signal to move on. Once you've gone through the book at least once, it will put into context within your mind what the book and its exercises are trying to do for you and you'll approach them next time with a "vibrational state" that includes that knowing rather than one that is still trying to work out what on earth it is all about :) answered 23 Jul '13, 04:39 Stingray yes the mks method or any good detailed method for that matter is like a jig saw puzzle, a bunch of symbols(letters, words, shapes, colours and images) that when assembled build a complete picture ... once you've fully assimilated the whole scene each detail will fall into place ... after all any method is nothing more than a bunch of collages or else a great form in movement

@shougo420, if there is already a similar question (I'm not sure which you are referring to), it would be better to post a comment to it so it is automatically reactivated in the main question list than to ask the question again. Duplicate questions are bad for Inward Quest as they make it more difficult for people to find information in one place in future and lead to duplicated answers. Inward Quest was designed so that older questions regularly rotate back into view to gather more answers.
OK thanks I didn't know it was designed that way. Next time I will make better use of the system!
