In my experience, power that unites and serves other people is eternal, while power that divides people and serves only yourself is fleeting.

The reason for this seems clear to me. It is a question of understanding, of insight into the way the world works. Who has more power, the person who keeps everything he earns for himself, or the person who understands that when he gives to others of himself, he always gets back in equal or greater measure in return?

The person who keeps all for himself, or tries to manipulate others to achieve gain, shrinks his world (and by extension, his mind), because he doesn't understand the connectedness he has with everyone else in his world.

The person who gives part of what he earns to help others less fortunate than himself has something far more powerful: compassion, and the peace of mind that goes with being able to contribute, in some measure, to making the world a better place.

Despite all their faults, I give credit to the Catholic Cardinals for appointing as their highest representative, not someone with the characteristics that they feel might be attractive to the modern Catholic, but someone with enough humility to be willing to ride a bus, and enough integrity to stand up to his own principles.

There are many things far more powerful than the kinds of things that we normally associate with powerful people. Genuinely spiritual people already know that their real power flows from the Source, not from anything they might personally achieve or gain in this physical world.

Power is the raw energy of the law of attraction and as such is neither good nor bad, it's the infinite supply of potential mind matter.

Just as the potential supply of electricity is infinite and only limited by the means that we can capture and convey it, the potential power of the law of attraction is infinite, is always at work and available, and as living beings we naturally have that power within us, it's only limited by the extent of our awareness, it's in becoming consciousness of that power within that it comes into our possession.

The more aware we become, the greater the power we have under our control and the greater our individual magnetic mind power, the easier we attract whatever we wish

I wouldn't say power corrupts. I could give examples such as Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Pope Francis, Pope John Paul the III, Jesus, Gautama Buddha, Gandhi.

All of these were people of great power that used that power for the improvement of human kind.

I believe those in government try to help the USA in the best way they feel they can. Unfortunately a lot try to influence government for personal gains.

I don't believe it is power but lack of power that harms. When people feel that they need to look out for themselves because they are helpless they try to cause things to lean in their favor. This is similar to not wealth but lack causing problems. This feeling of unfairness that needs to be corrected drives people to do things that cause corruption in the system. Everyone must be seen as equal regardless of money or status. All loved, the wealthy man has a seat at your table as well as the homeless poverty man sitting next to him. None looked down on, none hated but all loved.

Yes we may say look at Hitler, he had much power and was very evil. But we need as well look to Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt.

I will give you a simple example: if one get a computer and does not know how to plug it in or press the power button does he have power? if one does not know how to make the computer work or connect it to a lan or a wan does he have power to do stuff on is network or the world wide web network? if one does not know how is computer work does he have the power to help someone else to fix is computer? if one does not know how to order things online, does he have the power to make someone deliver something to him? if one does not know how to make web page does he have the power to make a web site online?

if you are able to understand all of this.

you your self have to get to know your self in the same way you get to know your computer, what is the difference? you look with out and do not look with in. if you are not able to know your self and become in harmony with your self how will you be able to do it with someone else.

if we would take the example of a drop that is on land near the shore and there is a pieces of stone or wood in is path, how can it connect with the drop of water in the sea it as to know it self as a drop of water that is not divided and can connect to the sea or other drop of water. if it ask the sea and all the drop of water to connect with it a wave form and come and get him over the stone or around or under the pieces of wood. then the wave draw back.

they need to clean the inside of the cup if they want what is really precious. when they find the pearl of great price inside of them self and know that their brother are the same made in the image of the one that send them. they will truly know the folly made in ignorance lead by desire rather then the spirit. they will understand that they are passer by in this world and that nothing in this physical world last and everything change. until they understand this they seek outside what they lack inside to praise them self. when the real search should be made inside to overcome and get out of this bondage. like in the movie: the lord of the ring, how many have fall to the power of the ring being lead by their desire? to control, posses, own, get rich, get praise. they should first get to know them self inside and would not be in bondage. everything in this world is for us to use properly, why go in excess and extreme? does it serve you or your brother? or does it cause harm to you and your brother? if you say those question does not serve my desire keep looking out for what you desire. man even kill to get what he desire if you are always in excess and extreme where do you end up? is it not in desolation? is this what have happen to smeargul in the lord of the ring? what about the dwarf kicked out of their own mountain? what about the dragon alone in the mountain? is this the desolation of Smaug.
