Many a times an idea will pop in my head as I work on focus blocks or other processes from Abrahams and I feel really excited about executing it, but somehow it just falls flat. 'To give you an example I was thinking of generating immediate cash (most of you know that is all I think about these days), anyways I suddenly thought of my Dad's old Rolleiflex camera and I immediately went on ebay to check out what I could get for it. The prices were great BUT I found that to sell from my country on ebay is not possible. I can't create a Paypal account from here, the custom red tape is too much and the cost of shipping is high. Why does this happen? Am I mistaken in identifying inspired actions? asked 15 Nov '10, 11:35 I Think Therefore I Am |
There's nothing wrong with what you are doing as far as I can see. I just think you are assuming that because an action is inspired that it also means that you keep on going with that action forever i.e. until you get what you want. That's not the case. You only keep going with an inspired action until you no longer feel good about continuing with it. Very often, our inner being will inspire us in a particular direction with a particular action but then pretty quickly the action doesn't feel like it is the right thing to do any more. The action was all about getting you to move in a particular direction, not necessarily to a particular location. It's not that something went wrong, it's that the action served its purpose in moving you vibrationally enough in the direction that was intended. And, if you keep yourself in a good-feeling place, another inspired action will eventually present itself from that new vibrational place you are now in. I can't really speak to your personal circumstances (only you can) but don't you think this inspired action has now opened your mind slightly to other possibilities for cash that were not there before? That doesn't sound like a bad thing to me...and perhaps you may even be inspired to another way to sell that camera? If I was in your shoes, I would be appreciative of having received the inspired action because it demonstrates that something is happening vibrationally towards what you want, even if it isn't a complete manifestation yet...it's what I would call a vibrational match answered 15 Nov '10, 12:05 Stingray Sounds right...although I still struggle with the vocabulary. It sounds like a variation on "if it doesn't work, use your inner guidance to find something else to try."

@Stingray Arent inspired ideas supposed to feel right and their execution effortless? Otherwise what is the difference between normal ideas and inspired actions?

Yes, they do feel right and their execution is effortless up to a point...and that is the point to stop. It may be that one inspired idea may lead to the complete manifestation you are seeking, or maybe not...but it always moves you closer to what you seek. The difference between normal and inspired actions is that inspired actions are ones that come to you while you are in a state of alignment with what you want (while doing a Positive Aspects list, for example)

If one idea does not work out you still need to continue to focus on what you want. Continue to believe that you have it. Focus on the feeling of having it and hold onto that no matter what happens. There are millions of ideas out there for making money. Your idea did not work but trust the universe to give you more ideas. Do not allow yourself to get hung up on one idea. answered 16 Nov '10, 00:30 Drham |
It's great that ideas are coming your way, and if you keep feeling positive about them, more will come to you. The camera idea is maybe just a seed. Now that you are used to the idea of perhaps selling it someday and the price you would ask, perhaps an opportunity will come along (From someplace other than e-bay!) when you least expect. I would continue welcoming the ideas and see what happens! answered 16 Nov '10, 01:23 LeeAnn 1 |
Every time something goes wrong, you are closer to your goal....It's because you now know ONE MORE WAY that's NOT going to get what you want. Eventually new inspired thoughts are just going to rise up. Thomas Edison failed about 1000 times in creating the lightbulb. He quoted, "I didn't fail...I just discovered 999 way to NOT invent the lightbulb." To get what you want, you pretty much need to hold onto a checklist of inspired thoughts. Cross the ones that dont work out- if you have no thoughts left, just entertain yourself until you get a new thought- for me, this is watching funny movies. answered 07 Sep '11, 10:07 Nikulas |
The inspired thought was the camera, the action you took was what you thought to do about the inspiring thought. There are a lot of on-line auction places, there are antique places as well, go back to the inspiring thought and meditate on it and ask what do I need to do with this? answered 07 Sep '11, 18:11 Wade Casaldi |
I would like to point out something that you may have missed concerning your "inspiration". The message came to you from your right brain. You assumed when you thought of the camera that you were supposed to sell it. But what if that was not what the message meant at all? What if you were supposed to use the camera to take pictures, perhaps as your father did. Who knows where such an action would lead? I thought of this answer to your problem instantly when you recounted your story, because I felt that you were focusing too tightly on creating wealth as fast as possible. What a lot of people miss about The Law of Attraction is that sometimes, the Universe wants us to expend a little energy, effort, and pure sweat to get what we want. Selling the camera is too obvious. Too easy. But- making art with it is not a bad idea at all. Blessings, Jai answered 08 Sep '11, 11:43 Jaianniah |
