Is the following prayer in contradiction with LOA? asked 18 Mar '11, 01:10 Back2Basics |
I don't see a problem with it. That prayer is about acceptance and that is the first (and perhaps most important) step to deliberately applying thought to change your life using the paradigm currently known as Law of Attraction. If you do not find a way to be happy where you are, regardless of external conditions, you simply cannot receive anything better. There are no vibrational discontinuities in this universe - if you feel bad in the moment, you must pass through feeling okay in the moment to reach feeling joy in the moment...and that journey to more positive thoughts will be mirrored by your physical manifestations appearing. I think this is perhaps the greatest stumbling block for many in the application of the Law of Attraction...people want something else because they don't like what they currently have...but, in that attitude, what they "currently have" dominates their Now vibration so they only have vibrational access to more of the same. Notice that the prayer doesn't say that you must forever put up with "this sinful world" because it is implying that a higher power (Law of Attraction / God) will take care of it in the "surrender" (acceptance). In the same way, acceptance of current reality is not about liking your current reality, it's just about taking your attention off what is bothering you long enough that you allow something better to take its place. The neutral point is your friend. To change your world, you only need to give up feeling bad about it right now - you don't even have to feel good about it - you just have to have acceptance. It is only attention to the lack of what you want that keeps that lack there. For further information on this, see: Will my new house manifest? Acceptance in the NOW cleans up the "lack" :) answered 18 Mar '11, 05:45 Stingray Thank you for your clarity in this answer Stingray
