I noticed something over the years of some people who are later found out to have done illegal, corrupt or perverse things. If that is subjective to you, just think illegal in the western world. Before they were found out, in their time they were considered "popular". Meaning they ruled the social cliques so to speak. They were released personalities and were in charge of things and were powerful in many ways. People held them in esteem. Then I think of many people who were more pure in their actions at the same time and they were considered weak, didn't have as many opportunities becasue they were not part of the cliques, weren't held in high esteem, not cool, etc. On top of that I have then seen bad things happening to the good people making them even weaker than the others! Why does it seem more earthly power given to people who are in the wrong? |

So I first posted characteristics of a Psychopath. So I thought it was a certain list and after I came back and saw the 2 down votes (sweet) I realized it was the wrong list. My point being that most Psychopaths are very charming and have an attraction about them. A lot of powerful people that act badly are infect the types of people. There are many and I mean a lot of people that are not like you and me. We are all NOT the same. These people have little or no EMPATHY or compassion for others...they are just about souless. These days in order to get power and wealth it is ALMOST impossible to do it without being shady. My opinion thats all....Now gimme my points back! lol How does this relate to what seems like more earthly power given to people who are in the wrong?

I can see why many people think it is almost impossible to get power and wealth without being shady, that you must have some sort of gimmick or angle. Here's why: everywhere you turn it seems as if some company is getting a tax break, or bankers are making money hand over fist and then getting bailed out. It gives the impression that the only way to get ahead is to "trick the system in some way. I believe this aspect of our society needs to be fixed. However, I also believe that lasting wealth (in whatever way you define such wealth) only happens...

...when you provide lasting value to other people. Your level of wealth is determined largely by how valuable they perceive what you are offering. That this causes rocks stars and basketball players to become unbelievably wealthy (and crooks to become temporarily wealthy) just reflects on the values we have as a society. But Britney Spears was not an overnight success; she worked for many, many years to perfect her craft before she became wealthy.

they misjudged/used their appetite for accolades, and sought a treasure of earth,
their choice initiated a compensatory response, within an unknown time frame.
are the characteristics you value the savageness or the sound judgements. I like to believe it is possible to have a balance - where you can have spiritual development and have GOOD power on earth.

But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. -- Matthew 7:13-14 as for why does many people have power on earth and they do wrong it is because they have more lesson to learn. and until they learn them. there objective will always be on power and money all things that are in the wide gate of destruction. so do not see them as high and powerfull because they are at the lowest. it is also said the one that serve you best is your number one. so the only rich person that have learn is lesson is the one that serve everyone that he see. I think so too, these people Satan leaves alone because he has them already. He will even give them rewards for wickedness to keep them off the path of God. Hollywood, and Government, there are some in Government and Hollywood that are good people of course. so these people who "satan" has already, do they have no choice?

Oh no it is always our choice, see actually we are over Satan. But Satan can control us through fear or desire. This gives him power, Satan is actually (whatever you give power over you, habits, fears etc.) Anything that you let lead you away from God really.

When you have no power (no money, political influence, etc.), you have no choices. When you gain power, you have new choices, and some of those choices are bad choices. That is all. Some people gain power by "cheating," so to speak. But the vast majority of people who have significant wealth or power earned it, over a long period of time. People who get money or power through a windfall have trouble holding on to it. That's the reason many lottery winners are broke again within 5 years after winning the lottery. The Universe has a way of sorting these things out. "But the vast majority of people who have significant wealth or power earned it, over a long period of time". This does make sense because usually the one who think there are no rules can not keep it up for the long haul.

I think it boils down to we are all sinners in someways but people in power get their sins published in the newspapers and broadcast across the news. The latest scandal of this government man or that actor or this televangelist it makes the public not trust any of them when they see this stuff. This also makes it appear that most of these people are bad in some way told to them. But what would happen if the news found out about all your neighbors their sins, and your relatives? You would feel you are the only decent person on earth until they broadcast yours too, oops!

I think that because they are more popular and powerful with the majority, they are in a spotlight where people can see them. People tend to be more interrested in reading/watching/hearing about somebody doing 'wrong' than they are interrested in reading/watching/hearing about somebody doing 'right.' So, that's what the media gives us. Sometimes we get the anicdotal clip about saint doing good things, but it's the minority of media reporting. There are many good people who do very well for themselves, but the media is less interested in them, or they just don't flaunt it the way some people do. |
