I want to understand the law of attraction, metaphysics and the like but I am not sure were to start. It all seems a bit overwhelming. I am trying out the manifestation experiment to see if I have better success. I welcome any ideas. Also I could also use any suggestions to help with counteracting negative thoughts. I will think of something that I want to manifest and I will in vision that I have. I will make myself feel as if I have it (following the recommendations in The Secret) but later I find myself doubting and harping on the object. I guess I have issues with letting go. Thanks for your input. asked 16 Feb '10, 17:26 Nika Barry Allen ♦♦ |
There is such a vast array of material available to us now that when we first begin looking at this, it can be a little overwhelming. The Secret was also my first introduction to the Law of Attraction and although I did not really derive any practical use from it, it was enough to initiate that first spark to put me on this quest for more knowledge and open my mind to numerous possibilities. Where the Law of Attraction is concerned I think 'The Secret' came across more as magical thinking and did not expand enough on the key components involved. I (as I'm sure many others on this site would too) would suggest reading the Abraham Hicks books -"The Law of Attraction"and "Ask and It is Given" - which also contains some practical processes to use. I would suggest looking through some of the older questions on this site as there is a wide variety of questions and answers and I'm sure some will resonate with you - there is a diverse group of people here. answered 16 Feb '10, 17:59 Michaela |
Having just answered the question So let me repeat some of my answer. I first came across the law of attraction through a book titled "Seth Speaks" a more specific book of by the same author is "The Nature of Personal Reality" They are both heavy in their depth of knowledge, but well worth the effort. If you can understand this book, you will find that everything else is somewhat watered down in comparison to this information. The real trick in the "Law of attraction" is indifference. It's not what you want. It's what is normal to you. How do you feel when you are asked the question "Are you human?" Are you on planet earth? Do you get hungry? If you are reacting "Of course, what a silly question, tell me something I don't know", you are indifferent about the answer. There is no tension within you as to the truthfulness of the statement. You have to have the same indifference towards what you are trying to attract. It should be so insignificant that "It not happening" should be almost un-heard of in your imagination. That's why you should start with attracting something that is irrelevant & very easy, like getting a free newspaper or a cup of coffee that you didn't pay for. When it happens you should be going, oh come on that was not attraction; that was mere coincidence. Believe it or not, this reaction is a good thing, because it is too easy to be magical. That is the state you want to be in. There should be no "magic" to your power of attraction. It should seem like the most normal thing for you. Gradually you can build up to bigger things, but always maintaining a sense of "This is very easy & very normal for me to have" answered 17 Feb '10, 08:04 The Traveller I like the way that you explained that The Traveller it helped me to better understand how to do it especially the way you should be feeling as you wait on it to materialize into the physical of your reality. Thanks The Traveller

Two answers to this question - in my experience. ONE - if you want something you have to give it away first. If you want more money in your life, be generous with what you've got. If you want more love in your life, give love to others. If you want more power in your life, give what power you have to those causes/ideas which you admire and respect. The bible says something about those that give all will be given all, and those that don't will lose what they keep.. ? TWO - if an idea springs to mind with some measure of passion and then you forget it.. it just might happen. The downside to this method is when something negative springs to mind with the same passion. With dowsing... I use the clear mental vision of the subject sought as a guide, the rods will then usually lead me to it. answered 16 Feb '10, 23:32 Inactive User ♦♦ |
I suggest you start here, from the beginning... The Master Key System http://www.psitek.net/pages/PsiTekTMKSContents.html#contents The emails can be hard to digest but the homework is simple to understand and easy to put into practice happy reading answered 17 Feb '10, 06:09 Rosie |
You have manifested me to answer your question, and that is how the law of attracion works. It is as easy as you want it to be. You were attracted to this site Inward Quest through the Law of Attraction, and you will find the answers to your questions by the people you attract, and again that is the Law of Attraction. I am a seeker, and I attract Inward Quest, and this is a place whereby I can attract many other people to answer my questions, and that is what the Law of Attraction is about. These are some very simple examples for you to get the concept of how the Law of Attraction works, and it does work. As I can recall I wanted to manifest something very special for myself, and I wrote it down on my wish list, and left it up to the Universe to manifest it for me, and in less than a month I had my wish, and that is how the Law of Attraction works. Do not think too hard on what you are asking for, just write down your wish, and relax, and wait on the universe to manifest it for you. Believe it, and you will see it! answered 18 Feb '10, 06:44 Inactive User ♦♦ |
