What can Inward Quest accomplish for spiritual subjects? asked 18 Feb '10, 12:36 Pink Diamond |
Inward Quest is the only place that I know of where people can go to share spiritual information freely. There are other forums available, but they almost always:
In my view, those two things pretty much exclude the possibility of open discourse. It is my experience that, outside of such forums, people are uncomfortable about discussing religious and spiritual topics, for the same reasons that they are uncomfortable talking about sex (it is too personal, too controversial, and in the minds of some spouses, considered "emotional cheating"). There may be other settings out there that cultivate this spirit of free information exchange in such matters, but I haven't seen them. answered 18 Feb '10, 14:49 Vesuvius I definitely agree that the freedom to express ourselves on this site is quite unique.

I think some of the greatest strengths of Inward Quest come in the form of spiritual truths.
But most of all, as far as spiritual subjects - and your question - are concerned, I think it demonstrates most effectively that there is nothing to fear from a different point of view Some groups and forums seem to shun and exclude those who are different or think differently. Here we seem to welcome and thrive upon diversity. answered 18 Feb '10, 19:46 Stingray This is so true Stingray, this group thrive on diversity!

To be a forum where people can go and share their knowledge to hopefully aid others in their spiritual growth while expanding and becoming more openminded themselves on their own spiritual journey. answered 18 Feb '10, 17:08 Michaela I have personally become far more open minded about people's views now from participating on the site.

Everything, and nothing depending on where your interest lies, but in the same token, that is what makes Inward Quest such a popular place to share, and learn in a diverse community. Inward Quest is unique, and it allows self expression on spiritual topics, and tha is why I am a member of this group. I think as a people, and as a seeker, we should be able to share our experience with each in a none biasis way, to continue the journey of spiritual enlightenment for ourselves, and others. There is so much we do not know, and there is so much we need to learn, and we do need to learn from each other, because we cannot do it on our own. And I trust that everyone feels the same way about Inward Quest! It is a good place to be. Peace, Love, Unity. and one fellowship! answered 18 Feb '10, 18:46 Inactive User ♦♦ I agree that there is so much we don't know and this is where the site helps enormously.

I just ticked ALL of the above. I think Inward Quest is VERY useful in helping EARNEST seekers to discover if they really are on a glorious Quest and not just caught up in traffic on a one-way street. I think Inward Quest exemplies that good students are teachers and good teachers are students. That we can all learn something from each other. answered 18 Feb '10, 23:57 Inactive User ♦♦ |
