I love wolves. I always have. If I could own one, I would! (And I know what is involved, as my friend Ella had wolves!) They are what I call my "spirit" animal. There is something about them that calls to me. When I was a little girl, and was being abused, I used to ride away on the back of a giant Arctic Wolf named Shadowwolf. He took care of me until the abuse passed. I feel "connected" to wolves in a way that seems almost uncanny, especially since I have lived in the suburbs my whole life. I also love the Big Cats (and their smaller cousins), but the spiritual connection to them is not as strong. Do you have a "power animal"? What does this mean spiritually? Love, Jaianniah |

Animals and humans share the world we live in, amongst other things. All things are in essence spiritually connected. The food chain described in our elementary school studies is more than our Interdependency amongst species, it is our spirituality as a whole. Spirit is the driving force of an entity and as a whole, planet earth has shown to thrive more than any other planet in our solar system. Characteristically, we can fashion anything in existence. Nice answer, and it points out the connectivity we all share on our planet! Thanks! Jai

Wild animals tell me about nature, they want me to notice and appreciate it. They point out certain plants or other animals. Dogs not being wild talk about the home and master. Many a dog has let me know that nothing is going to happen in the home without their consent. I have not talked to any animals lately, except my own dog. They never talk about me or my spirit they are to busy showing me my fabulous world. Bees have been my animal totem lately. The great observatory. The world around us is expressively enormous, yet after all these years of evolution we still can't communicate between species. Just imagine what our world would be like if we were able to communicate with planet earths terrestrial beings. Fantasy fiction movies and cartoons have tried to tackle on the idea. What do you envision?

The video link was an interview with an animal activist, someone who feels empathy for animals. The emphatic activist did not demonstrate a dialogue between another species and herself. We have many emphatics throughout the world, but the type of communication I'm referring to relates to speech recognition. Do you know of someone who can speak the language of a dog, horse, etc,? Or do you know of an animal that can speak engish, spanish, etc.? Sorry I didn't clarify what I meant by communicate.

I first came upon the concept about communicating with animals through the work of Penelope Smith. I did have one of the original VCR video tapes of her doing some live readings with animals and communicating with them. Unfortunately it is somewhere in storage in the house, and I haven't seen anybody upload the same video on YouTube. Perhaps when I stumble upon it, I could upload it to YouTube.

The main ingredients to a dog trainers success is activity, food and affection. These three components allow a dog trainer to instill discipline in a wild animal, which is ultimately why a dog owner seeks a dog trainer. Furthermore, the high pitch frequency dolphins make, have been studied by scientist for years and has been concluded that dolphins communicate the same way humans do. Scientist have not reported an interpretation of dolphonics. Communicating with body language is a form of communication, but it does not reveal the higher level of communication performed by the species.
