I am finding more and more, through my studies, that the Bible contains many nuggets of information about manifesting reality. Have you discovered this, or do you think that there is a better way to learn about manifesting? Blessings, Jai

Over and over again, it says in the bible we are not weak we are powerful rulers of earth and all on earth, not each other all have free will and to be respected as so. Basically the Bible teaches us who we are, our authority and power, and tells us to believe we have that authority and power. We are rulers, We have authority and power to command, but we must have Faith that we do or we don't. Jesus is the king of the kings, the children of God are the kings, you are royalty with full authority and command of a royal position. The Law of Attraction is only one law Jesus taught he taught others as well such as the law of balance or compensation. Genesis 1:26 (Read all of Genesis 1) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Judges 5:13 (Read all of Judges 5) Then he made him that remaineth have dominion over the nobles among the people: the Lord made me have dominion over the mighty. Job 38:33 (Read all of Job 38) Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? Matthew 15:28 (Read all of Matthew 15) Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. Not to put too fine a point on it, but I have always found individual sentences lifted from the Bible without their surrounding context to be a little bit uncomfortable. Many times, I have gone to the Bible and read the surrounding text, and felt that the sentence did not mean what the quoter thought it meant. However, I will go and read the passages you suggest.

I agree Vesuvius. I have learned that "a text, taken out of context becomes a pretext". That's where confusion and misinterpretation of scripture comes in. I also commend you for checking it out yourself.

I chose these to emphasize the points of dominion, power, authority, faith just to show these things, if I had to put the entire verses down for each this thing would be way to big and the point lost entirely.

You must be authoritative when you command them to leave in Jesus' name. You can not be afraid but this must be treated like any healing you are here to let God use you to heal this person. This is not a battle or fight, Jesus gives you full command over these demons. Read James 4:7, and Luke 10:17-19. They must obey but you must have full command in Jesus' name full faith knowing the demons and devils are nothing compared to Jesus. Jesus already won you are just really pointing that out who is way over them in command and authority.

Hey Jai, the Bible is the most useful and foundational tool to learn about manifesting. Everything you need to know is in the bible. Unfortunately, information wise (which verses they are, how they connect, etc.), you are almost on your own on this one. Main stream Christianity WILL NOT see this "manifesting" or "the law of attraction" whatsoever. For myself, the main 'opening of this can of worms' began with a left hook question that was asked by a 17 year old. The basic premise had to do with prayer to God and getting answers. It took me some two years to find the answer. I was super excited with the information I found. All along, as my manner was, I was 'attracting' to me all the elements of this answer. This site would be part of it. This has been my quest for the last couple of years. To answer that young man's question about prayer/manifestation. I noticed scores of verses that seemed to point in the way of 'the law of attraction'. The few books that I have had the opportunity to read and study, are loaded with statements that have biblical references to them. Also universal laws that are spoken of and explained, are in the bible. Some books I read are; 'the science of getting rich', 'the master key', 'the power of the sub-conscience mind', 'ask and it is given', 'George Mueller' and a few others. I have noticed the common denominator in these books, the principle or law is the same as what that bible states but just explained differently. I am not getting to detailed in my findings because there are a few more things that I need to wrap my head around. I have the main pieces of the puzzle. I am seeing it coming together. Stingray has contributed immensely with his answers on this subject. I find he is spot on when manifesting questions are asked. In many instances, he is explaining biblical precepts without him knowing. One thing that I will say, the foundational premise of manifestation/law of attraction says, "be happy now", "make yourself feel good at all times", be constantly at the "Joy/knowledge/empowerment/freedom/love/appreciation" level. The bible commands believers to constantly live in this state. The verses unfortunately are not gathered in one place but are scattered throughout. The diligent seeker will find them out. Proverbs 25:2 says, "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." (A little like a pirate searching for hid treasures) The many verses in the bible matches up 100% with what is basically being taught with manifesting, the law of attraction, etc. Tip: when reading the bible, don't go to deep for a meaning. Many times, the main meaning is just staring at you. Don't get me wrong, you could delve deeper for deeper meanings. There is a time for that too. As stingray mentioned, "you have take a broader, perhaps different, view to the established one in order to interpret it." I agree with stingray. Understand, the established view is the one that most of Christianity is sitting on (i.e. what has been taught them). Many times passages are explained out of their context perverting the actual meaning or message that was to be conveyed. This is an example of the established views. I have seen individual people do this to the big religious denominations. Read the bible for yourself. When reading the bible it is most important to read it, in context, in a literal sense, and reading the first meaning of the verse. This will help you get a good grip on what you need to know. In conclusion, the bible has the answers to manifesting. You also asked, "do you think that there is a better way to learn about manifesting?" How does a person learn anything? Be it manifesting or whatever. Basically by reading, comparing, analyzing, asking other people questions pertaining to the subject, reasoning, understanding, judging, etc. the material you come across. You are the judge in what you accept as a final answer. I think this answer may help a lot of Bible readers who were having a hard time combining their biblical learning with the "Law of Attraction" and as Stingray pointed out before, there is a great book "Jesus taught it too" on the Psitek website - nice answer Frank :-)

Stingray basicly covered it when he said that you have to look at it differently than the established doctrine of christianity. Two quick examples of my favorite stories that have to do with manifestation is: Jesus' parable of the mustard seed, and when Jesus said, "It is not I that doeth the work, but the father within me, he doeth the work." |
