I writing this question before I actually begin the process. To explain my question I'm currently seeking employment not just any job I have a precise career position that I want. My question is about step 3 in the Manifesting Box Experiment, let's say I have my written request I put it in the box/folder, ect after that I'm suppose to forget about it completely. Does that mean that I should stop my job search all together, should I just forget that I'm looking for employment and carry on with my life? To add alittle more everyday I search in my area for the type of job I want, I look online, I ask around, and I physically go to places to seek employment are those things I should stop doing once I apply the Manifesting Experiment? asked 28 Sep '12, 17:37 Shanta Barry Allen ♦♦

If you are a newcomer to these ideas and this is a subject that you are involved in on a daily basis, then I wouldn't say the Manifesting Box is a suitable approach to use. Your habitual thought patterns are going to keep being reactivated and if they are resistant ones, it will interfere with you getting what you want. In the Manifesting Experiment Guide, it says regarding The Manifesting Box Method:
It seems to me that your job search seems to fall under the second category above because you are asking a question here about it. Something within you is not sure about just doing nothing at all otherwise you wouldn't be raising it as a query. So it seems you have some kind of belief activated that action is necessary in your situation. There are no right or wrong beliefs - it's all up to you - but it is important to respect your existing belief system...or else change it. On the other hand, if you already have some experience with these manifesting ideas then I would still write a request, and take inspired actions only regarding your job hunt, while being sure to clear up any resistance I have to the request manifesting. In that case, I'd probably clear up any resistance using Focus Blocks (Manifesting Experiment 2) - in the vast majority of cases - or Resistance Release (Manifesting Experiment 4) coupled with EFT (my preferred clearing method), if I needed a more "heavyweight" process. Also, you would need to keep monitoring your emotional reactions to your job hunt for any further signs of resistance. If you are extremely experienced with manifesting ideas - and you are feeling brave :) - then you can try Surfing Your Desire Into Manifestation in conjunction with a request. answered 29 Sep '12, 10:13 Stingray @Stingray thanks for your answer so after the written request the only action I should take is Inspired Action such as Vibrational Matches? And I can use Focus Blocks for the things that are cause for my job hunt and are getting in the way of my request manifesting?

@Shanta - That sounds about right. Inspired Actions are different to Vibrational Matches though. Vibrational Matches are things that pop up in your life that present evidence to you that things are happening regarding what you want...they make you feel more confident that what you want is on its way. As a further note, taking inspired action only is a good rule of life regardless of whether it is connected to a request or not :)

@stingray i have a lot resistance to the idea of "taking inspired action only". i need to buld my business to survive. so how can i believe that it will work? is it a good idea doing focus blocks daily to build this belief up?

@releaser99 - "i have a lot resistance to the idea of "taking inspired action only"" - "Taking inspired action only" doesn't mean you throw away all your usual actions you take to keep your life going, sit around, twiddling your thumbs, until some big magic flash of inspiration comes and then you do something :) It means do whatever you normally do in your life that you currently believe you have to do but then when a clear inspired action presents itself, you give that top priority

@releaser99 - You let the normal routines of your life carry on..as normal. But, in my experience, the Universe will find ways to slip inspired actions or vibrational matches in "between the cracks". Following inspired actions over a period of time may well eventually result in you taking less and less physical action over time as your beliefs about action change, but to go from action you believe is necessary to zero action (except what is inspired) may lead to a very bumpy ride :)

@stingray is it ok for me to accpet a different job position until my true desire is manifested as long as I don't put up any resistance?

@Shanta - That's a bit like saying I'm going to eat this food I don't like because the food I want isn't available. There's obviously nothing wrong with that approach if you are hungry...so it depends how hungry you are :) For me, I try (when possible) to use the Hell, Yeah approach for deciding what action to take next: How do I differentiate between inspired action and things that I do because it came across my mind?
