I've read some articles on inspired action saying that you should look for signs and ideas that feel good and act upon them even if your not sure. Then again you have some people say that you should wait for an inspired thought, idea or feeling to come to you. What is the simplest way to follow inspired action? I do get some resistance when I try to figure out how to take inspired action and when to take it. I understand that the universe has a backup plan but I would like to know how to take inspired action as it comes along. I would like to know of a method that brings as little resistance as possible. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I've known about inward quest for 2 years and I think i'm getting the hang of this whole LOA thing. Being in the present moment is one of the best ways to take inspired action and manifest but how can you be present and look for ideas and inspired thoughts that come up. I'm a little confused with this stuff so I would like some advice please.

Here is the link to at least one article that confuses me a little bit but it works:

Thank you

What is the simplest way to follow inspired action?

Here's the simplest rule I know of for Inspired Action:

If it doesn't feel like "Hell, Yeah!" then it's "Hell, No!"

Further information: How do I differentiate between inspired action and things that I do because it came across my mind?

Everything else in your life is Optional

...so you might as well just do what feels good and the Universe will wedge whatever it needs to do within the gaps of your everyday life.

And if it's the case that you might as well do what feels good, then you might as well choose to do the best feeling things that you can...everything you want in life is only because you ultimately want to feel good as a result of having it so why not feel good now on the way to it?

A suggested task-selection approach (courtesy of Bashar): How can I become more disciplined and consistent in whatever I do?

Im glad you've answered this one. The answer is just what I needed for a question ive had...until today. Ive been offered two jobs with double my present salary...but I cant say " Hell Yeah" to either, I don't even know why I cant! Ive another opportunity with half the money....I really can say "Hell Yeah" to that!! Am I mad? have I been on IQ for too long? I think i'll do the thing I don't need to talk myself into.

great answer as usual from Stingray!

@Monty, do you like your current job? If not, do you feel that either of these two jobs might be more exciting to you? Personally, I'd take the incremental improvement if it's there, because I'd take that as a sign that it is the path I should be on to lead me to my destination. If neither of these 2 other jobs are BETTER (higher vibration for you) then I'd stay put and keep looking.

Jacob, I've always been a big fan of EXPERIENCES. Don't overthink things, FEEL them, and remember, excitement and fear feel very similar, like diving off a cliff backwards. If you're reasonably confident there's water at the bottom, you'll be ok. If there are rocks, you won't be. But in either case, the fall will make your heart pound and your adrenalin race. (I hope no one takes this literally :).) I'm a risk-taker, but I always check for rocks first before I leap.

That is a very good question and exactly where I am at. I know what I want and have been vibrating, putting all my mental and heart felt energy into manifesting it so I thought but nothing. Why is that? I'm starting to wake up now and realize that the Universe is putting everything in front of me that I need to achieve my goal, it just isn't the same as what I envisioned so I keep dreaming. The reason I am not getting anywhere is because I am not open to receiving it as it comes. I need to take care of what is in front of me (fearless action) first and then I may expect miracles to happen. I have let my problems pile up and now I must take responsibility of them as I move towards my goal. As I do this I am thinking of where I want to be as if I were already there. It takes very little action compared to the self talk it takes for me to achieve. I am becoming what I think about every day whether I like it or not, my life is a mirror of what I truly am. I am everything I need to be to achieve anything I want, I am going with the flow of my life. Progress not perfecting because I am already imperfectly perfect, I love myself today. Feeling good in all that I do is a very good way to get where I want to be! I feel amazing right now and working to feel better and better. Sometimes the actions needed seem harder than they really are only because I look at the whole picture rather than take one little step at a time. When I get too far into the future or dwell on the past, fear sets in on my present and I attract difficulty. I must remember that I am powerful and fearless, right now all is good. I am doing what feels right at the moment, no matter what it may be, my conscious knows, I just need to decide. I hope I have helped someone out here, I know that this is helping me, I am and you are the most important part of life.

What is the simplest way to follow inspired action?

I would say right now looks like its more of experience issue you are facing. When i first started reading about follow your joy or inspired action etc, in the beginning i always think of somethings but at the same time I could have some doubts about it etc. but once you do some activity and then later find out how it feels. Slowly you will know whats really TRUE of yourself. YOu can see it will have the peace, calm, knowing, pure joy, pure passion - it will feel perfectness in what you do. Then you will get a better reference of what exactly it means.

But till then its ok to experiment. If you get an idea go do it, maybe later you realize ok did not feel best etc. Sometimes for me i did the same action i had done few yrs back but because my vibration was better and there was less noise the same action created exponential results...etc.. So dont be afraid to try action and find out. You can always re-adjust backtrack and wait another inspiration. Ask questions of how does this feel on scale of 1-10 etc.. be patient and take more time to check in again and again to arrive at right frame of mind , vibration. best of luck!

Inspiration comes forth from within. It's what the light burning within you is about, as opposed to motivation, which is doing it because if you don't do it, there will be negative repercussions. Motivation is making myself do something that I don't really want to do. Inspiration is having the clear picture of what I am wanting — and letting Universal forces come into play to get the outcome.

The questioner in the video had a completely different question but the answer that comes at 11:40 applies to many LOA questions.reach for the good feeling or as @Stingray said "Hell Yeah!" when you get that kind of "light burning " , "Hell Yeah"

Wu wei is the Taoist way that non-action is just that an action.

Wu-wei also implies action that is spontaneous, natural, and without effort. As with the Tao, this behavior simply flows through us because it right action, appropriate to its time and place, and serving the purpose of greater harmony and balance.

Inspired action is not necessarily the best action. It can be, as for example my answer to your question is inspired by your question.

However temperance is essential, test the inspired action with reason. If you see a pond and feel inspired to take off all of your cloths and jump in naked. Test this with reason! I'm I alone? Who's pond is this anyway? Am I trespassing? Is someone coming? Could someone else come later and find me? What if it is a family with children? On the second thought this inspired action is not a good choice!

Test everything so that you do not end up with egg on your face trying to explain something that was not such a good idea after all.

This is a timely question as I at the start of my own inspired action journey at the moment. There is always some excitement and passion to be found around inspired action. However because of your belief filters you may feel a little doubt or anxiety as well mixed in. What I do is to get down in there among the feelings and get some perspective. If I find passion and enthusiasm and I realize that the doubt and fear come from worrying what others will think, then I know it's time to act.

You can't just sit and wait but you can't just blindly act. Act when you are in alignment.

Also remember that today's action will be tomorrow's stepping stone. You may end up changing direction to another course of action or you may remain on the same course in the near future. Time is never wasted and you are never stuck. Those are illusions.

Inspired action should have some of the following elements :

  • Passion
  • Bliss
  • Joy
  • Excitement
  • Anticipation
  • Service to yourself and others
  • Positive Expectation
