I've done a lot of searching in the last few months and the theme I keep coming across is the idea that nothing has any meaning outside of ourselves. We've created this entire reality and attached our own ideas to what it means. It seems that this idea can be used in so many ways. So is suicide a neutral event? Are there even things that we classify as positive that could come out of it? We have no idea what is beyond this life so can anyone really say that it's wrong to take control in this way? I don't want to bring the wrong kind of energy to a place that can feel so good but I honestly want to know people's opinions on this. If a person is an an extreme situation and suicide brings extreme relief, and nothing really means anything, I am struggling to see how it is wrong. Of course it is a terrifying thought to most people to face something so unknown, I guess that's why I am seeking company here to try and get a different perspective on it. Has anyone ever received any clear information about this topic? asked 12 Jul '14, 21:14 Bluebell |
Abraham have said many, many times that All Death Is Suicide because every aspect of our physical realities is created by us... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyeww2iw2uU#t=192s ...so your question about whether suicide is a neutral event becomes one of whether death is a neutral event, and the answer to that one is that death is a positive event when viewed from the physical perspective because it is a releasing of physical resistance, a RE-focusing and RE-membering that we are infinite unlimited beings. It's birth that's tough, death is the fun bit :) However, we tend to naturally balk against the idea of death because we want to experience the restrictions and limitations of a physical life. Unlimitedness is boring :) So there's a natural repulsion to the idea of physical death because we've gone to so much trouble to focus here in the first place. It's like not wanting a movie to end that you are really enjoying. There's a sense of disappointment when the credits start to roll. But if the film gets boring then, from a reality-creation perspective, there's absolutely nothing wrong with leaving the movie theater and going off to do something more interesting instead. It's a personal choice. Abraham have said (only half-jokingly) that if people understood what a wonderful event death is then they would be throwing themselves off high buildings :) So where does the idea of "Suicide Is Bad" come from? I've seen time and time again that the belief systems that proclaim that "suicide is bad" are the ones that seek to control and manipulate the physical self. Think about it. If you are pushing a system of belief and control that herds human beings into certain kinds of behaviors (the reason why is unimportant), and you have managed to successfully convince them that they don't have the power to control their own lives, then you've got them right where you want them. You really don't want people escaping from that system of control by killing themselves and returning to an unlimited, uncontrollable non-physical perspective :) Instead, you want them to stay and suffer within the boundaries of thought that you have deemed correct for them and their physical bodies. So when you say...
...then ask yourself, who is saying it is wrong and what has the belief system they are pushing got to gain from convincing you it is wrong. I find the recent growing trend towards suicide bombing an even more stark demonstration of these ideas. In these cases, belief systems that say that suicide is bad also add in the condition that if you kill yourself while carrying out a task that supports the belief system then it is instead a good thing and you'll actually be rewarded after death for doing so. You've got to admire the sheer audacity of the argument :) answered 13 Jul '14, 03:52 Stingray @Stingray Suicide framed as negative as a system of control? That is a fascinating perspective. I know you were being vague in parts for a reason but did you have specific groups in mind or just general systems that control?

@Bluebell - "did you have specific groups in mind" - I quite like what @i4cim2b said in this answer : "...any idea that attempts to instil fear in people, any idea that threatens punishment of some sort for non-acceptance, any idea that attempts to make a person feel unworthy, any idea that is used to control or limit a person's potential or free will" . Basically, any belief system that claims to be the only way is not :)

you say: I keep coming across is the idea that nothing has any meaning outside of ourselves. We've created this entire reality and attached our own ideas to what it means. we did not create this reality God created it. you made the choice to come here to grow experience and enjoy. the only reality that people make down here is between each other and on the outside in this world. what they do not understand is that what they do to other will come back to them some started to understand it and came with the label karma causality cause and effect. I say know thyself clean the inside of the cup. stop making the same error then other that are in darkness, and care only about the outside of the cup. you see everyone as freewill and are responsible of it, when someone do wrong to them they say if they can do it to me I can do it to them and do the same then they are no better then them and what they did to another will be done back to them again since you are not alone in this world how many wrong will you have done to your self and other in this life time? break that cycle seek to be better then other that wrong you. if you need to go in the desert where no one can call you no name or cause you no pain to find your self then do it. it will be hard at first in the beguinning facing your own darkness out and in and in and out. remember the truth will set you free. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6eTbhHE0jM you ask: So is suicide a neutral event? stooping your choice to come here to better your self is it a neutral event? or a failure made by your own choice? since you make a opposite choice to your first choice ? since you do not remember your first choice before you came in to this world once you remember it when you go above will you be sad to have fail? will you be sad to have wrong your self of this opportunity? you say: Are there even things that we classify as positive that could come out of it? We have no idea what is beyond this life so can anyone really say that it's wrong to take control in this way? the first question I have answer you already. if you miss this opportunity and negate your own choice and stop your own growth your own experience your own enjoyment are you working against your self? for the second question you make the mistake to believe that no one know what is beyond. I say to you Verily verily you do not know where you come from and where you are going, I know where I come from and where I am going. John 8:14 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbBmpaDBizA I am telling you the truth you must be born again. the flesh is flesh and the spirit is spirit. what good will it be to destroy your flesh? the flesh the physical body is not the problem. you need to be born of water(mind and heart) and spirit(light). for the moment your water is in darkness and divided. you need to be aware and seek the truth to solve your own inner division so that you stop sinning against your self. when the two become one then with out fear you can go above. You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light." Let there be light, be the light that you can be, experience and enjoy. If I have been your helper so be it and let it be. answered 13 Jul '14, 08:39 white tiger |
Yes Bluebell nothing has any meaning except the meaning that you choose to give it and suicide is neither good nor bad. So why do people take their own life? It's certainly not by free choice it's because the heavy emotional or physical pain that they're experiencing outweighs their capacity to deal with the pain From a moral point of view it is neutral. What it all really boils down to is that the negative outweighs the positive, there's internal imbalance from which there seems no escape but death ... how you get into such a situation in the first place is based on ingrained negative beliefs. answered 13 Jul '14, 02:49 jaz |
Hi Bluebell, all death is considered suicide, beacuse of the fact that we create our own life and the way we pass on. Truly, there is no death. The death you probably mean, is the consience choice of taking your own life under harmful circumstances. I my view, also herein lies no wrong. But in light of the reason why we are here, to experience joy, suicide isn't often an act of joy, but an act of overwhelment. Nothing is lost when one decides to leave the Earth plane in this matter, but one missed out on the oppertunity in this life to feel the empowerment which could have been on the other side of this choise. answered 14 Jul '14, 10:53 TimH |
Suicide involves a definite killing of the body by self-delivered means-often of a violent nature. Left alone, the self and the body are so entwined that the separation would be smooth. The body would automatically follow the wishes of the inner self. In the case of suicide, for example, the self is to some extent acting out of context with the body, which still has its own will to live. Too often in your society suicide is the unfortunate result of conflicting beliefs-and yet it is true to say that all deaths are suicide, and all births deliberate on the part of the child and parent.
