I am considering listening to audible affirmations for hours while busying myself with mental work. My mind will obviously be occupied with the mental work that I will be doing. So I believe it will not be in a position to receive and filter the affirmations. But since the affirmations with be audible, my subconscious mind will receive them. Could this be an effective means of reaching the subconscious while bypassing the conscious? Thanks Hitesh asked 30 Nov '10, 05:45 Hitesh |
For you to make the most of the audible affirmation while mentally busying yourself elsewhere, you need to take a mental note that you will be registering each and every affirmation. This will happen on a subconscious level and yes it is an effective method as long as that is what you want it to be and what you ask for it to be. It is like those who can listen to the radio while going about their work. They may not be paying attention to what's playing yet they end up memeorizing the different songs or feel familiar with the different music they've been exposed to. Your experience will be more intense though. Thank you, namaste answered 30 Nov '10, 08:11 daniele |
The conscious mind plays a critical role in our lives. It allows us to filter information before passing it to our subconscious. In that respect I would say that you cannot by pass your conscious mind. If it were that easy to bypass the conscious then we would have little if any control over our circumstances. There are some things that we do that are almost automatic such as driving, typing, household chores, etc. You can do all of those things while listening to your tapes consciously. answered 30 Nov '10, 23:48 Drham |
The best thing to do is to try and experiment it yourself. If you feel differently listening to audible affirmations, then it helps, if you don't feel anything different after some time, then it doesn't! Everyone is different and accepts things and ideas very differently.. for example when I listen to certain subliminal recordings I feel very uncomfortable although I don't know what the CD is actually playing... but it just means that my belief system on that particular subject is so strong that it is currently rejecting the messages that are being slipped into my mind. answered 01 Dec '10, 05:04 kakaboo |
