The more you do something the better you get. What you focus on and think about grows and expands as well as your understanding of it. Your creative ideas also expand constantly. The possibilities grow forever. Sometimes I wonder if we could be our own teachers. Everything is energy. If you believe you can do something and if you persist and keep doing something knowing it will bring you results, even if it means doing nothing at times, then it seems like there isn't much else to know. Thinking about stuff seems to over complicate stuff. Intention seems to be the first step of creation. Then followed by either action or some sort of surrender you believe will bring you results. I've found that investing in myself is the best investment. I feel like I really don't need experts, teachers or gurus to better a skill or a spiritual path. Everyone on here knows it all starts from within. Deep down we already have the answers. It seems to me that trust/faith is really all we need. What resonates with some of us may not resonate with others. Inward quest has brought me way above and beyond anything I've learned elsewhere including school. These are some of my ideas. Maybe someone has a few things they would like to add for clarity. Thank you. asked 26 Apr '16, 20:22 TheCreativeOne

A mentor is a good thing to have. Even people like Brian Tracy and Bob Proctor have mentors. We get wisdom from inspiration and this comes about through others. It could be people or lessons or books, it could even be from websites like this one. While we could try to figure things out for ourselves it is much easier to learn from others. We stand on the knowledge of those that came before us to reach new hights that haven't been reached before. If we just try to learn on our own, we are trying to figure out how to do things that someone before us had already figured out. answered 29 Apr '16, 09:07 Wade Casaldi @wade casaldi you are the only person how can truly know your self no one can do it for you. you can learn as much as you like from other to try to reach their knowledge or understanding. but if you do not know your self you missed the beginning. If one who knows the all still feels a personal deficiency, he is completely deficient. That which you have will save you if you bring it forth from yourselves. That which you do not have within you will kill you if you do not have it within you.-

For where the beginning is, there will the end be. Blessed is he who will take his place in the beginning; he will know the end and will not experience death. The man old in days will not hesitate to ask a small child seven days old about the place of life, and he will live. For many who are first will become last, and they will become one and the same.

Thank you. Even the idea of self investment was picked up from me by a mentor. It's ok to invest in yourself but it's probably not a good idea to get too caught up in another person nor is it a good idea to shut off from everyone else.

It is not possible for any human to survive alone, or to learn everything necessary for survival completely alone. You have already spent thousands of hours studying in school...You spent the first five years of your life learning from some sort of adult- parent, grandparent- someone who "raised" you. Also, having a mentor is not only wise, it can be wonderful as well. There is a saying: "The doctor who treats himself has a fool for a patient." We can expand that saying to something such as "The person who thinks he can do everything alone, by himself, is setting himself up for failure." You said that Inward Quest has brought you farther than anything else... Well, I have been writing for IQ practically since its inception, and have written thousands of words in answer to a whole bunch of questions. I did it because I like to help people, I like to teach, and I enjoy the intellectual challenge. Obviously, you have read many things here at IQ which have helped you. @Stingray has written an entire program of living here on IQ which has helped hundreds, if not thousands (judging by his medals, I am probably not too far off with the "thousands" count) of people gain many things they want through manifestation. We have been blessed to have had him invest so much time not only developing his system, but answering hundreds of questions with skill and pictures, graphs, and pie charts to boot! (LOL!). So, now you feel super good, confident, etc., but please give credit where it is due. I cannot believe you got where you are alone! Do not get me wrong- I am happy for you. You definitely are in a good place, judging by what you wrote. But watch out for the ghost of Confucius! Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance. -Confucius Blessings, Jaianniah answered 29 Apr '16, 00:20 Jaianniah |
you say:Thinking about stuff seems to over complicate stuff. but I say to you. not thinking about stuff complicate stuff. since if you would have though about it you would not have done some error that you did. if you understand what you do and what is the result of it. then you can have the expected result. but if you do not understand what you do and what is the result. you might not like what will happen from your choice and action. to know the truth is better then be stuck in belief that are not true. complicated stuff is made of very simple stuff. first learn the simple stuff after you can learn the complicated stuff. you say:What resonates with some of us may not resonate with others. this can be true because not every one is at the same level of awareness, knowledge and experience. sometime some people will not agree but later on they will. sometime it can be belief that is not true that stop them from understanding things. other time it is their choice and self pride. they cannot accept that they are not perfect and still have some stuff to learn. they are limiting them self. they think I am perfect I know all and I have nothing to learn but in fact they are probably some of the people that have the most to learn. they should have stay in the beginning. you say:I've found that investing in myself is the best investment. I feel like I really don't need experts, teachers or gurus to better a skill or a spiritual path. I say to you: are they really expert? many in this world are not what they appear to be. not that you cannot learn stuff from other. that could be also self limiting for your self to say I know all I do not need anything from other. again self pride that limits you. you say:Everyone on here knows it all starts from within. Deep down we already have the answers. actually they should but to presume that every one know, might be a sign that you presume to much, how many search on the outside only to fix problem? how many search for someone to blame? how many do not want to ear what other have to say? are you so sure that every one know? there is many thing that people should know it was said 2000 year ago. if they would have listen. there would be no war, no poverty in this world. yet you can say every one know that? just one example : who live by the sword die by the sword. is there still people that make war in this world? then would it be presuming to much that every one know? if they would know they would start from with in. you ask: Is investing in ourselves the best option for our spiritual journey and in life?" I say to you: first know thyself. you can invest as much as you want in yourself but if you do not know yourself you can loose a lot of time investing in stuff that do not really help you. Let there be light, be the light that you can be, experience and enjoy. answered 27 Apr '16, 09:04 white tiger Thanks @white tiger, enjoyed the first part a lot (for what it was exactly what I needed to read, hehehe - you know how it goes).

Why then are there so many divergent views even on some very basic moral questions? I think we do need spiritual guidance, but of course up to us to choose to take the path of spiritual growth.
