Why do we laugh at certain events, jokes, pratfalls? We know that Joy comes from a bonding with our Higher Self, Source, Vortex.

Yet we can laugh at situations that can seem hurtful. For instance pratfalls. A person slips on a banana peel and we laugh. Or someone does something that, from their logical standpoint seems correct - witness the "dumb blond" jokes - yet is really contrary to accepted logic, and we laugh at their "silliness".

Yet there is Joy inherent in laughter. We all love a good joke.

But what does this mean from a spiritual mind perspective?

well accident happen error happens and no one knows all, it is better to laugh about it then cry about it. know as long has you laugh and are not making a judgement example: look at the stupid dumb etc.pretty easy if you would not like to receive what you are saying or doing to someone else because you would hate that then don't do it. it also gived you a taste of your own imperfection. then you know where to work on your self not just for people around you but for your self first.

@whitge tiger "it also gived you a taste of your own imperfection. then you know where to work on your self not just for people around you but for your self first."

I think that you have a good point here.

humor releases negative energies naturally. you can feel the relief that comes with laughter if you ever used a releasing technique such as eft, sedona method or focus blocks. it feels very similar to when you are in a serious situation and suddenly something funny happens and you have to laugh. in that moment you release the negative attachment to the situation.

there is also a kind of yoga that uses laughter to feel good and release. it is called laughter yoga. so in theory you can even enlighten yourself with laughter :).

@releaser99 - Hahahaha! This is cute. I have actually been a bit concerned about this, not having especially liked everything I've found so far on my own journey. :)
