Why can't I stick with my decisions? Doesn't matter what it is. It can be something relatively small like what hobby to pick or something life changing like where do I want to live. The bottom line is I decide and then after some time I'm not so sure anymore. It's driving me crazy. For example: maybe you know from my first post (I think) here a year ago that I wanted to move to Hawaii. Guess what right know I'm still in Europe and now I want to move to L.A. but I'm sure I'm gonna change my mind again in a month or two. So what can I do about that? How can I decide something and then stick with it? (I know it's normal that your desires change with time but what's going with me is absolutely not normal)

@timmyy-just an observation ... sure i agree with the answers, we all change our minds sometimes and we feel good about it, however with you, changing your mind seems to make you feel uneasy, as if your decisions are not based on your real feelings at the time of deciding ... :)

@blubird two, thanks for pointing it out like this... It's because all those decisions are from ego. There's is happiness and happiness. One occurs when ego is dropped, the other is delusional product of ego.

Happiness is hearing silence and enjoying it. Happiness is hearing loud noise and enjoying it. But happiness from ego is going to listen to loud noise because you sat in silence too much.

Happiness from ego is going to a party and getting drunk, because you've been alone and can't...

...take life anymore while sober. But happiness is going to a party, because of the party. And getting drunk, because of the drunkenness.

With happiness, each moment and each experience is complete at the moment it happens. It doesn't stretch to the past, nor to the future. It only happens now. With happiness from ego, there's something done, because of something was left undone. And what you have done will server for your future doing, because it's never complete. Thus law of cause and effect.

only fools do not change their mind. and what is normal anny way?could it be that you are not sure why you make your decision in the first place? and that is why over time it change?i think there is many truth about your self that you need to find out and those out side decision are only diverting you from the real thing that you need to discover. when you discover your self then you will know yourself and will make your decision in truth. for now your decision are not set in stone. and it is ok like that.you need to know more and everything can change nothing is set in stone in this world. when you will know the normal and not normal about your self and how they relate together, then you will know your self. but for now putting label normal and not normal is only confusing your self, since what is normal for one can be different to someone else, and that is only another label to outside norm and mesure, and why do you want to mesure your self to someone else? by the mesure you use also will it be apply to you. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." http://bible.cc/luke/6-38.htm

why do you seek to mesure yourself by the standard of this world? if a man tell you that it is normal to be blind;will you let him lead you?will you seek to be blind also?

He also told them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? http://bible.cc/luke/6-39.htm

do not be blind and let blind lead you:know your self you are your own student and your own teacher, but until you know your self you cannot be like your teacher.

A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher. http://bible.cc/luke/6-40.htm

As @white tiger said, only fools tie themselves.

I like song by Robbie Williams - Come Undone, because it perfectly sums up the whole of my being. One day I'm this, the other day I'm that, and I don't need resist or worry about any ties. Exactly as the lyrics goes.

So rock 'n' roll, so corporate suit. So damn ugly, so damn cute. So well-trained, so animal. So need your love, so fuck you all. I'm not scared of dying, I just don't want to. If I stop lying, I'll just disappoint you...I come undone

If you look back at your first question . And the first paragraph of the answer you chose as right

Once you get into the habit of always doing the thing that feels best to you in any moment, you will know by how you feel whether or not it is the right thing for you to do. The thing that feels best to me is always something I'm passionate about doing, it excites me, I love it, like answering your question for example. If this wasn't the right choice for me, in this moment, then I'd be doing something else. Too simple?

When Eddie refers to moment think of the decsions you make right now.the ones that stick the ones you have acted upon. The ones that have felt good.No matter how small. Use that feeling when you think about those decisions you label as long term. It's that whole vibration thing . Maybe those plans you have made just didn't vibrate right with you right now.

Are you a Gemini by any chance? The 12 constellations are broken up into 4 different groups - fire, water, air and earth. The "airy" group is made up of Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. They are detached and objective. They can become dreamers; thinking and planning, but not applying.

Gemini - By nature they are restless and exceedingly energetic. Their chief characteristics are intuitive and mental activity; consequently they are nervous and restless.
