As I’m working on my vibration around several topics I find I get stuck or consumed with the idea of how things will manifest.

For example,

I want 2 grand extra income each month. It's tough for me not to think about how I can earn this money and trust that the Universe will deliver the "how" in a joyous way.

I want a new car. It's tough for me to not think about the possibilities of how it can manifest....effortlessly.

Even small things I want to manifest like a painting I want for my living room. I always think..."I don't want to pay for it but I want it...How can I get it"

I know some will say I may be doing fine looking for avenues for money to stream in however I'd like to really internalize the idea that things can come to me without much strenuous action, which I’m accustomed to.

I do, however, have evidence that things that I desire can come to me with ease and I'm trying my best to focus on those things.

I plan on doing a focus black around this idea...as the relief will surely make me feel better.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed.

Thank you

It sounds like you are using the processes to try to manifest what you want, rather than doing them because it is fun to do them...doing this is going to cause resistance within you to the manifestation happening.

I don't think you would be thinking about the how of the manifestation if you weren't trying to make the manifestation happen, instead of just aiming to feel better about what you want.

There's an explanation of what I mean by this here: Using Focus Blocks, what if the way I want to feel seems almost impossible?

I thought I might take this opportunity to throw out another of my more advanced methods for anyone that is already at the stage of fairly easily and steadily manifesting what they want.

With this method, we start aiming towards the Holy Grail of manifesting..."manifesting on demand".

I'm still clarifying my ideas about this approach to some extent but I think I've built up enough experience with it now to throw it out to the world in general and see what happens :)

And I have to say that to start applying this idea successfully, you really need to have built up a lot of faith in your ability to manifest reliably. i.e. that the universe will respond to your desires if you get out of the way of them coming.

If you're not at that point, it's probably wise to steer clear of this method...I think it's a little too head-on for someone just starting out in manifesting.

By way of introduction, I hinted at this approach in this answer, and it's worth reading to get the gist of it: What does ‘detachment’ truly mean in Law of Attraction?

If I had to give this concept a name, I would probably call it Surfing Your Desire.

'Surfing Your Desire' Into Manifestation

What you're going to do for this method is basically use your own desire for an important, quick manifestation to accelerate the manifestation...effectively riding the wave of it into physical reality...a kind of manifesting positive feedback loop.

An example might be the best way to explain this approach...

A possible suitable scenario might be that I desperately need a job by next month because I'm fast running out of cash, but I'm currently unemployed.

  • Firstly, I know the manifestation will happen because I've now built up enough experience with manifesting to know that they do happen if I don't stand in the way of them coming.

  • But the urgency of the situation is making me feel nervous or concerned about how the universe is going to make it happen. I can feel that nervousness causing the desire within me to sharpen (for want of a better word)

  • What I do now is immediately soothe that nervousness until I feel confident again that the desire will manifest. Just getting to the neutral point is enough, so you can use processes like EFT, ZPoint etc instead of Focus Blocks, if you want.

  • Now we just get on with living our daily life (taking any necessary inspired actions) until the desire sharpens into focus even more because we notice we still haven't got our job yet and the deadline is now closer (assuming the job hasn't manifested yet).

  • Again, we do some vibrational work and soothe ourselves back to neutral point on the subject. One of the main thoughts we can use to assist with that soothing is that we know the universe has no choice but to manifest something if we are not standing in the way.

  • So we are now going back and forth between letting the desire sharpen up because of our concern about the lack of any manifestation yet, and then immediately soothing that concern back to neutral again every time it comes up.

  • It's like surfing just ahead of the crest of that desire wave, using the wave's own pushing force to bring the manifestation closer...and just barely staying on the vibrational surfboard :)

alt text

  • We keep going with this sharpening and soothing until we get our manifestation...and from my experiments so far, the manifestations can turn up in the most extraordinary ways.

Again, it comes down to giving the universe no choice but to comply with its own Law of Attraction that whatever you are a vibrational match to, you must receive...even if physical reality has to perform some vibrational somersaults to make it happen :)

As I implied at the start, this is not a method to start learning about manifesting with...it's more like "manifesting for the brave (or foolish!)" because your concerns about your desire not manifesting yet (because of, say, a real deadline) have to be genuine enough to cause this continual sharpening of the desire.

Hope all that makes sense for anyone brave or foolish enough to try this approach :)

@Stingray I have moments where all I want is relief, then I have moments where I'm thinking "What the hell is going on? I want more money, I want my car! I want to start living the life I am imagining" And I attract so much knowledge and information that it's honestly starting to fustrate me again. I'm constantly looking for what am I doing wrong OR how am I holding myself away from the things I desire. There is no turning back after gaining this knowledge but it pisses me off. It's like a emotional roller coaster. And you might noticed that from my other comments and questions.

(06 Nov '10, 01:00) Chris 2

I'm wanting so much to interalize this information because I've read it so much put some things in to practice and things are slowly changing but it still feels like something isn't clicking or i'm missing something. I think sometimes "when will all of this become joyous like I know it should be" I'm honestly trying my best but I will read the link you posted in the beginning of the answer and see what I can get out of it.

(06 Nov '10, 01:03) Chris 2

Ok I just read the other answer you posted and I must admit everytime I do any of these processes MOST of the time I am secretly thinking about getting my "Stuff" It seems the best rememdy for me is to simply focus on getting into the vortex and stop trying to manifest things for now. Because that's ALL I think about. It getting the "Stuff" or situations I desire. Any additioal thoughts after reading my rant? PS: I think you can see I'm very passionate about getting a handle on this. Is that holding me back?

(06 Nov '10, 01:13) Chris 2

If you are really so hung up on your 'stuff' , just take some time off all these and think to yourself, what would happen if you really got your 'stuff'? Would it really change anything in your life? If you are already living an ok life and not desperate you would find that actually .. they would be something that would be 'nice' to have, but not necessary. Thats how you can stop focusing on the outcome and just enjoy the process!

(06 Nov '10, 01:42) kakaboo

And it's a good thing that it's an emotional roller coaster because I totally understand how you feel as I am also starting out on this knowledge.. at first I was frustrated and all too but now I am enjoying most parts of it even though I haven't technically really manifested anything I wanted yet.. because you can't find this type of emotional coaster ride anywhere else I bet :D.. So far I think I have only managed to find myself once in the vortex(it was a very different feeling of excitement(tho its not on the emotional scale?) which I can't describe) but it didn't last long lol

(06 Nov '10, 01:47) kakaboo

@Chris - Yes, the best remedy is to just clean up the vibrations on the subjects you want, and then just tune yourself into the Vortex from time to time and leave all the details to the Universe. I know you want your stuff but, as Kakaboo says, you'll only want more different stuff after you get this batch, so you may as well start enjoying the incompleteness of your life...because it will always be like that :)

(06 Nov '10, 08:10) Stingray

@Chris - And if all of these manifesting ideas are frustrating you then just giving up for now on even trying to manifest anything at all is actually an excellent idea...because you can never give up a desire that has been launched, you can only give up your resistance to it. http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/8406/what-happens-to-the-things-we-originally-desired-if-we-suddenly-decided-not-to-wa/8417#8417

Very interested in the concept of cleaing up the past and present negative thoughts.Happy with the theory about this, could you give practical pointers on the methods you used to achieve this.

@Graham - These days, I don't use much more than the method explained in Manifesting Experiment 2 - "Focus Blocks"

Ive just been reading thru a few of your links and i have most of what i need from them. The NEUTRAL point is very interesting,as is the feeling being an indicator of a manifestaions proximity. I will study thru a few more of your links. They do seem to answer most of my queries.

if it weren't for stingray i'd have a pretty sad life. I like the surfing method the best of all awesome!!! Gnarly!!

(24 Sep '11, 05:05) Nikulas

@Nikulas, yeah the surfing method is a way to have a pretty extreme life to say the least - if you want it :) It's like throwing yourself off a cliff and then trying to figure out how you're going to land safely on the way down before you hit the ground. I seem to have the kind of personality that is naturally drawn to "surfing" :) ... http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/1779/are-we-all-extreme-attractors

(24 Sep '11, 09:36) Stingray

hey stingray, im thinking of doing this. I believe that i can have, do, or be anything in compliance with universal powers. But i can witness my thoughts of resistance, impatience and doubt. If all i did was use the sedona method with those feelings, so i feel normal, i'd get the things exactly as i want right?

(13 Oct '11, 10:30) Nikulas
1

@Nikulas - Sedona Method is a good releasing technique that I used to use myself at one time. Yes, if you manage to keep clearing your resistance to what you want, regardless of external conditions, the Universe must bring about the manifestation. It has no choice but to comply with the way things work: http://tinyurl.com/69uxkac Just bear in mind that the manifestation you are chasing won't make you happy in itself, because you'll just have another desire after that, and another after that, and so on. The joy is in the process rather than the end-result.

Oh thankyou Stingray for this - such a clear explanation.

(10 May '12, 01:39) smellingtheroses

@stingray wow i am amazed. this really worked with a online auction of mine. but now i understand why you say that it is more difficult to manifest something that you need and want desperately. because i had to soothe many many thoughts to completely let go...

(29 Nov '12, 08:49) releaser99

...and they came back again and again in the same or in another form. besides in the last 15 minutes of the auction i meditated to stop all thoughts and let go. it really worked! i sold something for even more than it is worth. and it was nearly the sum i wished to get. thank you!

(29 Nov '12, 08:49) releaser99
1

@releaser99 - I like your application of the process here. Something like an online auction is a great way to practice this approach. I've probably learned more about manifesting (in a practical day-to-day sense) from using this deadline-driven method than anything else. And, as you've already discovered, sometimes there's simply no other option but to simply find a way to take your attention completely off the subject :)

(30 Nov '12, 05:49) Stingray

@Stingray It's me again :). "even if physical reality has to perform some vibrational somersaults to make it happen" This effect is really fascinating. I'm wondering how one can increase desire when there is no actual deadline. Do you remember that Stuart Lichtman talks about the "inner anchor point"? You basically anchor the feeling of a deadline (in the true sense of the word) in your heart chakra . But I can't make this work somehow. Any ideas and experiences regarding that approach?

(14 Jun '13, 13:15) releaser99

@releaser99 - "how one can increase desire when there is no actual deadline" - Find ways to focus on the thing you want more so that it matters more to you in your life. Alternatively, and my preferred approach, make more decisions in every day so you start pulling more life energy through every part of your life, and then start focusing on things you want once you are running at "full throttle" :) I didn't really get on with Lichtman's Inner Anchor Point approach. For me, it all feels a...

(14 Jun '13, 20:32) Stingray

@releaser99 - ...little vague and wishy-washy i.e. you are surrounding almost everything you do with white light and placing it there. I found I needed something a little more quantifiable than that to buy into it, like spreadsheets and Focus Blocks :) I personally can't really fake the feeling of a deadline because, at some level, I know I'm faking and hence it doesn't really matter. However, if you do get immersed in life to the extent where you are constantly forced to make decisions then...

(14 Jun '13, 20:38) Stingray

@releaser99 - ...that kind of lifestyle naturally seems to generate real deadlines on a regular basis so you can get plenty of practice that way :) It's a bit like the "Boldly Go" idea in Star Trek where you just explore what's out there in life for the sake of exploring. You maybe get into a scrape or two along the way but you discover so much that you wouldn't have otherwise...and your life hardly ever gets the chance to be dull or uneventful :) http://www.inwardquest.com/questions/4836#4837

(14 Jun '13, 20:45) Stingray

(14 Jun '13, 21:00) Stingray

@Stingray- Wen you refer to "decisions" you are actually referring to decisions that, for most of the time, are accompained by physical action? Eg: if I decide to wash my car, it's really a decision once I'm actually in the process of washing it, correct?

You see, in my mind, when you say decisions it's coming from my source in a more tough love way as "stop being lazy, get up off the coach and do something productive." Would you say that's equally what you're getting across here?

(15 Jun '13, 09:23) Nikulas

@Nikulas - "if I decide to wash my car, it's really a decision once I'm actually in the process of washing it, correct?" - If you want to link decisions and immediate physical actions, that's up to you, but I mostly don't. I might have (and do have) a long list of things I want to achieve. Just going through that list and thinking about what to do next regarding each item, without doing any of them now (or even ever), is just as much decision-making...that's basically the Placemat Process.

(15 Jun '13, 09:40) Stingray

@Stingray "It's a bit like the 'Boldly Go' idea in Star Trek" made me laugh out loud :). And I feel excited to go "where no man has gone before" (but Stingray).. So you say making decisions increases the overall desire for many things in life. This sounds like a good approach. Lately I feel really inspired to figure this "manifesting on demand" thing out to become a master in it eventually. I see it's tricky and much about identifying limiting beliefs.

(16 Jun '13, 17:05) releaser99

"little vague and wishy-washy" Yes, this is exactly what I was thinking. He has some good ideas but some of them are quite challenging permission slips for me to buy into :).

(16 Jun '13, 17:06) releaser99

"Find ways to focus on the thing you want more so that it matters more to you in your life" So Lichtman's "prioritizing tool" of reading/writing your metastory 100 times daily should do the trick, right? And it also seems to uncover limiting beliefs at the same time. Do you feel inspired to share any other tips regarding your "surfing the desire" approach? Pitfalls? Helpful beliefs? Tools? Thanks.

(16 Jun '13, 17:07) releaser99

@releaser99 - The "100 times daily" does not particularly appeal. I tried it for about 2 days before giving up. IMO if one is resorting to brute force then one is overlooking a more elegant solution. With the repeated affirmations, you won't be focusing with the same effectiveness on repetition 100 as for repetition 1. Better IMO to employ the "vibration stays where you last left it" effect. Shift your vibration, live some life to stabilize the vibrational setpoint, then shift it some more.

(17 Jun '13, 08:32) Stingray

@releaser99 - The "Metastories" idea generally, however, I find to be brilliant. I've mentioned it before on IQ in various forms. If you focus on a subject and think of every memory (or even anything at all) that comes up when you think about it, and then clean it all up, then wonderful things happen that were not happening before. That idea is well-embedded into the ME-4 approach and, really, it lies underneath the Faster EFT "whole-life" clean-ups.

(17 Jun '13, 08:34) Stingray

@Stingray "you won't be focusing with the same effectiveness on repetition 100 as for repetition 1" Yes, that's right. I feel my focus diffusing when I do so much repetitions. But just a few (like 5-10 reps) seem to unveil some limiting beliefs. "If you focus on a subject and think of every memory..." I have a challenge with stacking up memories. So I uncover beliefs and corresponding body sensations and I write them down like in ME4.

(17 Jun '13, 15:47) releaser99

And when I have a long list, I just remember the last limiting belief and body sensation as soon as I start to use a cleaning tool. I kinda lose the feeling of all the other beliefs in the list and can't go back to them immediately just by reading through the list. So ultimately I have to clean up one belief at a time. Maybe I've misinterpreted this concept?

(17 Jun '13, 15:48) releaser99

@releaser99 - The intention to stack is sufficient for the effect to work...you don't have to remember a consolidated version of all the limiting beliefs...in fact, that would be an almost impossible feat to pull off anyway :) Robert Smith (of Faster EFT) additionally quotes the tree metaphor once to each new client at the beginning to signal what's required of the unconscious part of them i.e. "what happens if you pull the roots out from a tree/plant?"

(17 Jun '13, 17:29) Stingray

@Stingray Excellent!! Thank you!

This is a fascinating discussion. I know I'm late to this party, but @Stingray's words Shift your vibration, live some life to stabilize the vibrational setpoint, then shift it some more. jumped out at me. I think that without realizing it, I've been trying an all-or-nothing approach to shifting vibration that was not serving me. Incrementally shifting vibration feels so much easier and more logical. Thanks guys. :)

(24 Sep '14, 04:12) Grace
1

@Grace - "Incrementally shifting vibration feels so much easier and more logical" - I've found time and time again in my life that gentle incremental changes stick while quantum jumps rarely do...a concept that is currently in fashion in management circles and labelled with the Japanese term Kaizen.

An analogy would be that if you are accelerating your car gently from 10mph...20mph...30mph...etc you can take your family along. If you going 0-100mph instantly, get astronaut training :)

(24 Sep '14, 06:29) Stingray

@Stingray - Great analogy, and it feels right. :) I woke this morning and started doing my Focus Blocks and wondering how could I have said I don't shift vibration incrementally? Of course I do, every day in my Focus Blocks. But in my comment I'd been referring to shifting setpoint vibration on an intended manifestation, not something bothering me. So now I'm thinking I'd like to keep track of that and see my progress - do you have a process you use to do that? Am I forgetting something?

(24 Sep '14, 12:26) Grace
1

@Grace - "referring to shifting setpoint vibration on an intended manifestation, not something bothering me" - It's the same thing in my view. Only use a process to feel better about what you want, not to try to manifest it. Why is my manifestation taking so long? Treating our emotion about the thing as the real manifestation of the thing makes the lagging physical accompaniment of it come quicker and easier (as a by-product)

(25 Sep '14, 06:06) Stingray
3

@Grace - A slick way to do this is to ask yourself "Why Don't I Have What I Want Yet?" and that question will generate a list of your own personal "blocking" beliefs which you can Focus Block or Focus Wheel away. This is a pretty subtle but important point (in my not-so-humble opinion)...the natural order of the Universe is to always give you what you want. If there's nothing left in the way of it coming (your good-feeling emotions tell you) then it must come. Universal Law demands it.

(25 Sep '14, 06:13) Stingray

@Stingray - Thanks for that, it helped a lot! Subtle but important, I agree. It made me laugh, how fast that cleared up my quandary. Even as I was reading your comments I asked myself well, why don't I have what I want yet? Almost before I could frame the question the answer came loud and clear. Because I believed that it was a decision in someone else's hands. Nope. All up to me. Cool! I didn't even know I was thinking that! :)

(25 Sep '14, 12:21) Grace

@Grace - You're welcome :)

(26 Sep '14, 03:47) Stingray

@Grace - ...and I forgot to add that if you want to use the Why Don't I Have What I Want Yet? idea more systematically, you might want to take a look at Manifesting Experiment 5 ...a neglected experiment that I should probably simplify/clarify and give more prominence to because it's the closest one so far to the idea of deliberate manifesting, without drowning in the usual resistance that accompanies that deliberateness.

Abraham was once asked, "How can I make a million dollars without working for it?"

To which Abraham answered, "Well, you asked for a million dollars, but you then immediately offered up a contradictory thought, 'but I don't want to work for it.'"

Abraham suggested that a better question to ask might be, "How can I make a million dollars, and enjoy the process?"

Vesuvius, sometimes a subconscious thought is so subtle... while i read that i didnt even realize it could be interpretated as such. How do you recognize if you are offering contradicotry thoughts?

In some cases its obvious, when I read this I thought yeah to make a million dollars while being inspired to do so would be awesome, but i might have asked the same question...

@Nikki777: Most people will tell you they would like to have a million dollars, but when you ask them why they don't have a million dollars yet, they will give you a laundry list of the reasons why they don't. Those are all contradictory thoughts.

The universe is not the problem you are the one that does not trust the universe to release, and to deliver your desire. Also you are setting up barriers, and blocks for your self, because of your lack of trust that what you want to manifest will not come to you, when you want it to come to you!

How badly do you want that extra income, and what are you willing to give up in exchange for that extra income? And it is same with the car that you want, what do you need to do, or change in your life to get the car. What are your talents, and skills, and can you use this talent, and skill as a product for service to generate the money you want now?

What are some of the things that you know that you are capable of doing that will generate fast cash for you now? Do you have wealthy parents, or do know someone who would give you a loan, or who would buy you the picture for your Wall as a gift, if so, go ahead and ask them for what you want, because you know that you will get it from them now!

Otherwise, you will have to be more practical, and realistic, and try to be more strategic in finding the type of employment that will provide you with the level of income to support your life style, so that you are able to buy your car etc.

Lastly, there is no shortage in the universe, there is enough for all of us, and some of us just knows how to get all that we need and want, and our cup is always full and running over. You can be one of those people, if you can learn to trust the universe and the LOA to manifest for you. It will come to you, when you are ready to trust, and believe, and when you least expect it, and sometime, not in the way you would expect it!

Foresight:I have a strong feeling that it will take some prioritizing on your behalf, but you will eventually get your car etc. I hope this helps.

I have no idea how my desires will manifest. I don't want to play God. But yea a plan might help. I wouldn't bother if I didn't Trust. It's part of the fun. What wonders will HP (Higher Power) bring me today.

(07 Nov '10, 02:42) Tom

I got wrapped up in my reality and forget most of what the site teaches. I asked HP to intervene. Then this site came a real Blessing. I am jazzed about making more money so I can make another donation.

(07 Nov '10, 02:52) Tom

To realize this you must have faith. You must KNOW that law of attraction exist, Not just assume, or think it is a good theory. I see minute by minute my manifestations happen. And when you can, then you KNOW it is true. It is faith and love for yourself that can ONLY bring this feelings of comfort. There is a part about this in this show, manifesting and releasing belief systems. Hope it helps.

Let me tell you how I manifested my pretty white Fiat spider (convertible sports car).

I was driving a used passenger station wagon at the time and it was ugly. I knew I needed a new car, but I only had $3,000 to spend, and that included taxes and registration. The car I wanted would cost at least $15,000 even used. (this was in the early 90s)

Every time I went anywhere in that car, I rolled down the windows. I turned on the blower and had it blow air at me. I wore a convertible hat to keep the wind from blowing air into my eyes. As I drove, I kept repeating to mself how much I loved my new car and how much fun I was having driving it. I really did have fun driving it.

By the time I got to where I was going, I was then busy doing other things, so my mind didn't wander back to the how. After work, I got back into the car and repeated the process. Same with every single time I drove that car.

On the 28th day I was in the kitchen doing dishes when I heard a beautiful throttling sound in my driveway. I instantly knew that it was my car. I ran outside. There it was, escactly as I had envisioned. It was white with a blue interior (blue only because that was the interior color of the wagon, so it made it easier to pretend that the car really was a sports car).

the car was driving my my ex-husband whom I had not told what I was doing. He was a used car dealer. The car had come to him in winter, when there was no market. He had bought it for a pittance. I bought it for less than $5.00 less than I asked for - taxes and registration included.

I think it has to do with keeping busy. I know that this helped in the early days no matter what I was manifesting. By now I have such a vast array of successes that I don't worry about it. I just remind myself that it's on its way so it's easy to set the "how" aside.

Personally, I do not think that there is anything wrong with using your own initiative. If you were looking for a job you would have to go through the process of sending out applications and going on interviews. The universe has blessed us with a lot of knowledge and we should use it to the best of our ability. I believe that we should do as much as we can and let go. If you can come up with a plan to make more money then just implement it. If you do not have any ideas then you ask the universe for guidance.

When you cast your desire, you tag that item and create a channel, like the tube at the drive thru bank. That channel is like a wormhole between you and your desire. However, we can create blocks to this desire, which keep us from getting what we want. These blocks include fears, limiting beliefs, negative emotions, etc...

So, picture a tube like at the drive thru at the bank. You are at one end and your desire is at the other end. Now look into that tube to see/hear/taste/smell/feel your desire on the other end. See/hear/taste/smell/feel it as clearly as you can. Get in the tube and start moving through the tube toward the end with your desire. Look for road signs that block your view. See what they say on them. These are your limiting beliefs. Use EFT or focus blocks or whatever method works for you to remove the fears, doubts, limiting beliefs, negative emotions, etc... that are in the way of you receiving what you want.

Don't limit yourself by expecting it to come a certain way. You could get a phone call that leads to this that leads that that leads to your desire. That call though can come any time. Expect it to.

Asara Lovejoy has an amazing manifesting technique called 'The One Command' that I have been using successfully over the past few months. The method can take as little as 5 minutes to do and the first statement you make using it is, "I don't know how" she explains in her book why this is such a powerful statement. I think if you check it out you'll find it will answer your question :)
